This video was taken during a chronic illness mobile clinic on October 20th in Rimal Al Aqsa Camp in Hamad City, Khan Younis. This was the 7th visit by The Sameer Project medical team to this camp where 48 patients were treated and given free medication.

When access to clean water and cleansing soap is severely limited, keeping hair shorter makes basic hygiene easier. Sweat, dirt, scalp irritation, and lice become much harder to manage when children cannot wash regularly.
For these children, a haircut isn't about appearance. It's about health, hygiene, and dignity. So on September 17, The Sameer Project brought our free Mobile Barbershop initiative to Al-Radwan Camp 6, providing haircuts directly to displaced children who have already been deprived of so much. 🚨I carry this heavy container over long distances every day just to bring water back to our tent in Gaza. This is what survival looks like for me.
Water should be a basic necessity, not a daily struggle that leaves me exhausted. But this is my reality, and tomorrow I will have to do it all over again.
My family needs more than water. We need bread and food, and my mother needs her cancer treatment. I’m trying to help my family get through each day, but I cannot provide everything we need on my own.
I’m sharing this photo because I want you to see the reality behind my words. I’m not asking for luxuries. I’m asking for help with the essentials that my family needs to live.
