Our governments are using the moral panic around pornography n sexuality as a way to overreach and enact censorship, surveillance and criminalization. This is nothing new, but it’s getting worse.

I cannot stress this enough; it is entirely OKAY to de-transition out of sex work. It is entirely OKAY to find yourself making money and existing in other ways!! I really respect, admire and encourage people do that. Of course there is a life outside of sex work, of course there is ♡ It just really breaks my heart when people who finally do leave feel like they need to disparage an industry/their time there or alternatively, monetize talking about how gross/bad/dirty they felt while ‘catering to the male gaze’ with a quick little ‘Haha no hate to the girls still doing it!!:)’ as if the people still turning into sex work or not still dealing with an immense amount of stigma, criminalization and conflations of abuse. This isn’t me trying to say that people who leave also can’t talk about their time here! It really upsets me that most people who leave don’t go onto advocate for those of us that are still here outside of things like rescue or platitudes about ‘supporting workers’ while advocating to ‘abolish an industry’. It’s so awful. I wish more people who have detransition out would talk about decriminalizing, destigmaizing and decarcerating. I wish more people would talk about giving sex workers rights and pushing their voices to the forefront of conversation and policy. I wish more people would talk about how sex workers have been left out of Feminist movements and labor movements and so many other things while we are also the blueprints. I wish it wasn’t so lucrative and expected for people to pivot into anticontent as if it’s not ruining the lives of those of us that are still here. Idk, it’s just really fucking sad. I love seeing people achieve their hopes and dreams, I love seeing people have opportunities to leave, I don’t believe people should just have to suck n fuck to pay rent forever n ever.. like people shouldn’t have to just stay here bc they feel like they need too I just wish those of us that were still here didn’t have to suffer through this, idk. If I ever got an opportunity to de-transition; I would not stop advocating for the people that are still here despite all of the pain and violence and trauma and harm I have gone through .___.

Hey, this is actually really fucking bad lol Censoring material like this isn't stoping abuse. Banning choking/face sitting/smothering does not stop people from being harmed, it doesn't tackle the lack of sex education and it doesn't stop rape culture. But it does allow the government to further over reach on erotic creators posting adult content under the guise of protecting n saving. It's fucking gross and it never stops with us!
