"On Monday, Gutierrez was accused of threatening his partner during a domestic dispute at their home, prompting her to call 911 for help — apparently unbeknownst to Gutierrez. He allegedly dragged the woman out of the home and into the street at gunpoint, where he was arrested by officers responding to the emergency call, one of the law enforcement sources said."

YE RUSTIC INN MAY SOON BE DUNZO
In a shocking announcement on the Los Feliz bar's IG an hour ago, the staff have posted a distressing message: the beloved bar's lease is expiring and things don't look good.
They are asking for everyone's help:
To our Los Feliz community and lovers of Ye Rustic Inn, we need you ! 💙 Our outdoor space is scheduled to be removed on Monday and our lease is also looking at an uncertain future. We need our community’s support.
While Rustic may just be a bar to some… to others it is a place to gather, their job, and where some of their best memories are held. It’s a Los Angeles institution and the neighborhood wouldn’t be the same without it.
So we are asking our community to please join us tomorrow at 6:30 for a circle of hope and unity to act as a peaceful demonstration to show how beloved this establishment is to its patrons and staff.
Small businesses deserve to thrive here in LA 💙 Please share and feel free or leave your favorite Rustic memory in the comments.
XOXO
The Staff of Rustic

So fun to be back on this great show. And best of all to talk about my Uber tales getting turned into a book.
You don’t have to drive rideshare to like it. But rideshare drivers sure seem to love it.
Join us live today at 3PM PST 6PM EST for episode 230 of SMTMC @TheRideshareGuy YouTube channel & all other platforms. Today's guest is @busblog Tony Pierce of @hearinladotcom, we'll talk about his new book of short stories from his @uber rides.

The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders' parent company (Silver Star) v My Chemical Romance.
DCC is being pretty cool about this. They aren't trying to be censors, they just want the emo legends to use different costumes for their incredible dancers.
“Silver Star does not ask Defendants to change their setlist, narrative, politics, choreography or even their decision to put gun-toting performers on stage," the complaint reads.
"Silver Star asks only that those performers not wear the DCC uniform while doing it.”

But the real prediction in this post is that Billy Corgan has Halloween off from his Smashing Pumpkins tour and has time to pop in to the Hollywood Bowl for the boys' 5th and record-breaking show

If you live in LA. Fuck you
Respectfully.
in any other timeline this would be huge news
but we live in an era where people who should know better
bite their tongues until it's way too late.
is it too late to prosecute our sitting President? no.
is it too late to demand the DOJ release the Epstein Files which will make this accusation seem tame?
no.

In our SuperSalon "Sex and Freedom: Dating, Desire, and the Politics of Intimacy," hosted by author Renee DiResta (@noUpside), writer @CathyReisenwitz explored the societal narratives around dating, marriage, and gender.
Cathy challenges the common assumption that women are always the ones pushing for marriage and monogamy while men need to be convinced, looking instead at the data on how marriage and dating impact men's and women's health and income.

Glendale's own @systemofadown just announced a FOURTH show at the @RoseBowlStadium for next June.
Previously no other musical acts have attempted more than a three-night run at the stadium there in Pasadena.
but next year there will now be two.
without cheating, do you know who the other is?

This afternoon these two immigration trucks were spotted on a flatbed truck on Coringa and Ave 51. Could be coincidence or maybe something planned for tomorrow in HLP or NELA but as always stay vigilant and watch your 6.
im not sure a lot of writers feel the way i do
but i really dont like reading what i write after it's done
and for damn sure i dont like autographing them, and mailing them out, even though the people who order them that way are so sweet and it's the most profitable avenue for me.
but i dont do these sorts of things for money. i do them because some things Have to get out and it feels better once it's out there.
WITH THAT SAID: it is so nice to see weeks later when people post their books and show everyone what sports cards i tucked inside.
this one was for a lovely woman named Zsa Zsa Laker. even though she lives outside Boston, I had to toss in my favorite @Lakers, @SHAQ.
and because she's such a good person i figured it was also a great way to get rid of one of my Larry Bird cards... and a Jeter card.
there's a few ways to get a book.
the easiest is if you live in LA you can find it exclusively for a while at @yquetradingpost. right now they're throwing in a free tshirt with purchase which is phenomenal.
maybe around Christmas i might let other stores in LA sell it but i love a little treasure hunt when i buy things. so right now 1770 N. Vermont in los feliz is where you can find these bad boys.
your longest wait will be if you get them from me because they're backordered for a few weeks bc im sold out. but this is how you get the baseball cards:
paypal.com/ncp/payment/YB5EE…
then of course there's amazon, where you can get it on Kindle, you can get a hardcover, or the paperbacks which is what i sell.
amazon.com/67-Stories-Tony-P…
people seem to like it. that makes me so happy that i just didnt keep them hidden in my basement like a weirdo.

This fiasco is proving is proving that audiences no longer know what journalistic ethics are, and can't distinguish between algorithmic content and reporting. Anyone who calls themselves a "journalist" must follow a strict code, summarized by SPJ here ⬇️ spjethics.org/code/

Fun Fact: if that model (or any individual sex worker) posted that picture on their IG account, they would be banned faster that a four-seam fastball!
Don’t miss the final paragraph about Cheesecake Factory
I love everything about the Cheesecake Discourse first and foremost because it is a throwback to Republicans trying to otherize Obama on some absurdist terms (arugula, dijon.) But it doesn’t fucking matter bc his popularity is insane and the joke fucking killed.
Another fun thing! Rs have been snookered into defending Cheesecake Factory as tho it’s a treasure of the heartland! Of the 216 locations, guess how many sit in precincts won by Harris? 166 (77%). The median margin was Harris +21.
When I was a kid our high school ski club would drive to Michigan to ski off of their cliffs. They didnt have mountains.
Michiganders are interesting people. Eminem could live anywhere in the world. He stays in Detroit. Kid Rock was born rich: still stays in Michigan.
They elected an amazing female governor. Now they're going to elect a straight-talking Muslim, in part because he talks like they do, but also because Mike Rogers is everything midwesterners hate.
Maybe Rogers could be like a Jim Jordan in some massively gerrymandered district, but no way can he win a statewide election being so full of shit like he is.
