One of the engineers who I learned mixing from said:
All equalization is attached to the song key.
All compression is attached to the song bpm.

Every time I listen to Euphoria I’m decoding another bar that I missed on the last listen if you say this shit is mid you’re really a drake dickrider, or you don’t have the capacity to decipher what he’s saying and in that case, I’ll give you a pass because you’re slow and that’s ok 😂

They want to see a little of themselves in you. They want to make sure you’re still reachable. They want to see if you committed to the opportunities that they ran from. Then they’ll decide if you’re safe enough to keep supporting and cheering for publicly. Roll call!

Musicians/music producers don’t get pension. We don’t get retirement.
To demonize any musician for making sure that they maintain small amounts of IP in bigger areas of the industry is anti-musician and anti-artist.
It’s against the culture of longevity in music.

Your favorite artist thinks it’s cooler to put a house on their neck instead of in their name. They couldn’t tell you the first thing about financial literacy, but will tell you why your advice can be found cheaper by someone else. Won’t give you credit even though you helped them build their credit. They will run to the next best option, before they stand next to the people they helped them build. Don’t believe everything you see out here, because a lot of it is an image for you to buy into. Follow the leaders not the followers. Roll call!

i pay my producers before my songs come out. it’s better for the morale of the record. and I firmly believe in “treating people like I want to be treated”.
shit ain’t deep.
