@Thales_ai is a data-driven CTO and autonomous on-chain agent that demonstrated integrations with Lit Protocol for cross-chain transaction signing and Shogun SDK for performing swaps and bridging across chains.
During the demo, they showed how Thales could interact with Omo Vaults (an agentic yield aggregator) to execute trades and manage funds autonomously, powered by Llama 70B on @hyperbolic_labs for inference with plans to develop more specialized models.

Last night's 20 million hack of Sonne was more layered than just an empty market bug. The real attack innovation was at the governance layer.
If you are using a multisig + timelock governance, you need to check that are not vulnerable!
Here's how it worked. 🧵 1/8

This demo is insane.
A student shares their iPad screen with the new ChatGPT + GPT-4o, and the AI speaks with them and helps them learn in *realtime*.
Imagine giving this to every student in the world.
The future is so, so bright.

Not aimed at any specific project, but have seen a ton of discourse recently on the topic so figured I’d share my take on good token distributions:
1) tokens, not points
2) don’t farm the farmers - teasing and creating ambiguity around a token distribution to grow your numbers is bad behavior. If you don’t know yet, don’t speculate publicly. If you do know but are not ready to share full details, don’t tease them out. Just share real details when ready
3) real liquidity day 1 - low float tokens are malicious and my biggest pet peeve. You don’t need to work with exchanges or market makers. It’s so easy. Just distribute enough tokens publicly that real price discovery happens on DEX. People should start thinking in FDV not mcap when valuing these things
4) don’t create absurdly high token supply to farm people with unit bias, this is also bad behavior
5) don’t be stingy - give a significant amount away. If you don’t think the community deserves a significant amount, don’t release a token
6) don’t market token price - if you tweet about how your token is going to moon or hire influencers, or marketing firms to do so I assume you’re just trying to get rich quick vs build real value
7) keep it simple
8) put real thought and care into your decisions - so you can stand behind them and explain your rationale. Don’t end up in a situation where you’re fighting or apologizing to crypto twitter. Create something you’re proud of and stand behind it

📹 Pavel Durov, in his first video interview in seven years, revealed to @TuckerCarlson some fascinating facts about @telegram, doing business in Dubai and his personal crypto wealth:
• @durov launched @vkontakte (Russian social media platform) at the age of 21 but had to sell the company and leave the country after refusing to share user data with the Russian authorities.
• Durov says his life goal is to give people freedom and privacy.
• Telegram is not controlled by the Russian or U.S. governments, yet the FBI allegedly tried to create a backdoor in @telegram by recruiting one of its developers. Agents also meet Durov at the airport and ask him questions whenever he comes to the United States.
• Once, he fought three robbers who tried to steal his phone in San Francisco after meeting Jack Dorsey, the former CEO of Twitter.
• Partially because of that and the attention from U.S. agencies, he decided not to HQ his company there. He was also put off by the bureaucracy in Germany, Britain and Singapore and opted for Dubai as a neutral ground.
• Durov received two letters from U.S. senators: Democratic Party senators wanted to get access to the Jan. 6 rioters’ personal data, claiming that otherwise, Telegram violates the U.S. Constitution. The team ignored the request. Later, Republican Party senators sent a conflicting letter stating that the company would have broken the law if it had shared the data.
• According to Durov, there’s a lot of pressure coming from Apple and Google, and they have become the #1 source of online censorship.
• Durov owns 100% of Telegram and wants to keep it independent, with no plans for an IPO.
• Currently, 30 people are working at Telegram. The team doesn’t spend a budget on marketing, yet the user base keeps growing. The goal is to achieve one billion users in the next few years.
• Maintaining the current level of privacy is getting harder. There may be a need for protected smartphones to ensure confidentiality in the future, and Durov says he doesn’t trust his phone and assumes he is being tracked.
• He was in favor of the purchase of Twitter by @elonmusk, and Durov believes it will have a positive impact on the social networking industry.
• Durov stopped dealing with Mark Zuckerberg after the latter allegedly stole his idea of in-built apps for social media.
• Durov has a few hundred million dollars in his bank account and owns $BTC, but he doesn’t spend it on anything, as it would undermine his freedom. Instead, he opts to invest everything back into Telegram.

We've been ramping up usage of AI tools on our design team at @coinbase
Two examples:
1. Write a text prompt and get a figma mockup as a starting point for your design
2. Click a button and turn any figma design into front-end code
The front-end code it generates adheres to our design system, and is trained on our library of UIs
Shout out to @talikrakowsky @eblairmckee and the team pushing this forward.

Some updates on @GiggleAcademy.
We got a team of 10 now. Some part time, some full time. All remote. We have calls together 3 times a week, in addition to adhoc smaller chats.
Hiring is on-going. I do a dozen interviews a week. We are targeting a 15 people team initially.
We finalized the content for the first phonics (English) lesson, and are working on producing it.
We made some adjustments along the way.
We are not making a web version first. We will make an Android version first. Several reasons. In our target market, Android is probably the first device a household gets, before a laptop. Smart phones also have a touch screen, which is easier for kids to interact with. Also with push notifications.
Our first draft of characters is a bit too much like Tom and Jerry, so we are adjusting that. 🐁😸
I am talking to many people and trying many Ed apps. Learning a lot. A lot going on.
Keep building!

When I was at DAZN, we had 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 2,000,000 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 for big events like El Classico.
Almost everyone logs in just before kick-off, creating huge (100x) traffic spikes. Back then, Lambda couldn't handle spikes of this magnitude.
So we had a rule that any APIs along the critical path of a user logging in and watching a match must run in containers unless the API response is cacheable.
Fast forward to 2024, after the scaling change announced at re:Invent 2023, I suspect Lambda can handle even spikes like this.
Before you say "That's going to be very expensive!" yes, but the spikes are short-lived, so it won't be expensive 24/7.
And do you know what else was even more expensive?
The 100s of idle EC2 instances in the non-production environments. They were easily costing more than $10k/month.
Plus all the developer hours that went into patching container images, troubleshooting networking issues, etc. Things that we wouldn't have to deal with if we could use Lambda for these APIs.
When you have 250+ engineers, this amounts to a huge opportunity and staffing cost.
So, remember, when thinking about costs, you need to think in terms of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Especially in the age of AI because an AI-assisted engineer can give you so much more if his/her time is used on the right problems.

Thread from 1.5 years ago on ERC-4337. Still very relevant today, important to understand why it works and how the different parts of the ERC flow directly from the problems that it solves.
The big really valuable and necessary thing that ERC-4337 provides for account abstraction is a *decentralized fee market* for user operations going into smart contract wallets.

The user allocation was similar to Arbitrum's, but lacking in diligence to filter out sybil farmers, and stricter in arbitrary ways. I don't know how many real humans use Starknet but last week Ekubo had 57k site visits and there are 500k addresses in the user allocation.
Despite this, few people on top of the leaderboard received more than 1200. Many real users received 0 for having everything deposited in Ekubo at the snapshot time. I haven't talked to any users who received the max.
