In August 2025 the ERHC told The City of London that its trans inclusion policy was breaching the law. It quietly shelved the policy but decided to carry on with allowing trans-identifying men into the women's pond. Next week it wll have to defend this decision in court.
NEW: Before our High Court hearing on 3rd and 4th November about the Hampstead Ponds’ @SanMan1978 for @thetimes reveals that the City of London was warned that its 2019 trans inclusion policy was unlawful by the @EHRC in August 2025, but didn’t make this publicly known. “The women of London deserve transparency, particularly when their dignity and privacy is at risk.” @MForstater thetimes.com/article/hampste…

Worth noting that Pride Centre refuses to host lesbian events unless biological males who identify as lesbian are welcome to attend. So a significant proportion of the L in LGBTIQA+ aren’t getting any benefit from the $6m. In fact they’d argue they’re being denied a “safe space”.
Victorian taxpayers have been hit with a $6m bill after the Carroll governmentordered a secret bailout to save the Victorian Pride Centre from financial collapse. theaustralian.com.au/nation/… by @damonTheOz #springst

Ten years ago today...the stats of a document on my computer…a few months later it was published and it's gone on to help hundreds of thousands of women around the world have a better birth in a system that often completely deprioritises their experience. I'm proud of that. 😊

The position of the Sex Discrimination Commissioner should not come as a surprise and in fact is the only position that she can take in order to try be consistent and coherent to herself and others given her overarching views and opinions. We must understand that the position she expressed is the only position one can organically arrive at, if one - as she does- a) conflates sex and gender identity b) disregards the material reality of women in favor of women being a feeling or an identity. c) disregards that certain reproductive processes are tied to being of a certain sex. I have genuinely tried to understand this position and to debate it with her to no avail. There is one point where we fundamentally differ and that I think underpins her positions on this: Commissioner Cody believes that if we were to recognize that women and girls have historically been discriminated against based on their sex (intersecting with other grounds), that would mean that we accept that that this discrimination is biologically determined and that this discrimination is acceptable or justified. This reasoning is flawed. We would not follow the same logic with any other form of discrimination, say for example racial discrimination. Naming that black people are often and have been often discriminated against because they are black does not suggest that such discrimination is justified, nor a tacit acceptance of it, nor does it suggest that they should be forever locked in a condition of being racially discriminated against. The answer to a serious problem cannot be to stop naming the cause, in the hope that this cause would magically go away or that its impact on the lives of people would soften or vanish.
Sex Discrimination Commissioner Anna Cody at Senate estimates said that protections designed to protect breastfeeding women from being discriminated against would also extend to “induced lactation in a biological male”. Read the full story: bit.ly/4zb29gC

Love this book
When the Oxford children's dictionary discarded dozens of nature-words—"dandelion," "fern," "starling"—as irrelevant to children's imagination and replaced them with words like "broadband" and "cut-and-paste," this inspired act of resistance was born: themarginalian.org/2019/06/1…
