What a fascinating life Steve Pratt has had. Steve's professional life included time as an Australian military officer, a CARE Australia aid worker and a Canberra Liberal MLA.

After a professional networking breakfast, a visit to a local business and a chat with the team (AKA, The Cain Train😎) about the work ahead, the doors called and I answered👍

Another extension has been granted for lodgment of a long-promised DA for the abandoned Hawker Tennis Centre. I will continue to monitor this and ensure that this neglected sports and recreation site is not allowed to remain a hazard and eyesore for our community

Very comprehensive presentation last week by Olivia Shen, United States Studies Centre, about writing Australia's story in the AI future. She discussed the advantages Australia can leverage, our nation's role in the AI supply chain. @AIIANational

With ABC Canberra's Grace O'Dea this morning at Big Splash talk about the so-called "unlicensed family restaurant", which appeared yesterday in the form of a gazebo-covered BBQ but is no longer in operation less than a day later! This Labor Government is being treated as a joke.

Congratulations to all the workers, volunteers and supporters over 85 years of The Y Canberra Region, and I was delighted to join this anniversary celebration last Thursday in company with Chiaka Barry MLA, Ed Cocks MLA and James Milligan MLA.

Congratulations to the Hawker Primary School community, present and past, teachers, parents and supporters, for your contributions to educating many generations of young Canberrans these past 50 years. (My visit yesterday included lovely chats with a past and a present parent.)

Vale Sir Patrick Stewart An amazing career, including as Captain Jean-Luc Picard, my personal favourite, especially challenging following William Shatner's iconic Captain James T Kirk. A marvelous turn as Prof X, bringing gravitas and emotional depth to such a pivotal role.

It was a great pleasure of mine to meet with Rachelle Panitz founder of the wonderful organisation So Brave. As October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it was a privilege to speak with Rachelle about the importance of this cause.

Good to be back at the doors today after a bit of a break with Sitting Weeks and Committee Hearings, amongst other meetings and commitments, keeping me otherwise occupied.👍
