The wait is over - Manchester’s first sky park is officially open at Castlefield Viaduct.
Overflowing with lush planting, the new site pays homage to the city’s industrial past and botanical heritage.

We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek at the Castlefield Viaduct garden in the sky today as work continues on the urban green space ahead of opening at the end of July.

Can you spot the difference between the artificial turf and natural turf we laid at Beech Hill Primary in Wigan this week? @Link_Cont
CALCO have recently partnered with @IntergralUK Ltd and @LivUni to create what we believe to be the first native wildflower meadow and pond on The University of Liverpool city centre campus.
1/4
Low fertility topsoil has been imported to support the growth of native wildflower species which will be planted by University students. The students will also construct bug hotels, dead wood and rock piles to attract a wide variety of animals, plants and fungi.
We hope what was an unloved and underutilised area of the campus can provide a green oasis for people to enjoy and where flora and fauna can flourish. We can’t wait to see how it develops over the coming years.

Sign writing complete, slam locks fitted and wash stations installed, so new vans ready to rock and roll. It’s just a shame they’ll be full of dirty tarmac tools by the end of the week.
