The Lions are in a bit of a predicament with Sam LaPorta.
On one hand, LaPorta is just on the other side of a Microdiscechtomy, a procedure that has potentially severe complications 2-5 years post op (right in the meat of an extension).
On the other hand, DET's offense really hasn't functioned the same without LaPorta.

Josh Cameron is thick, he is built more like an RB. He has sure hands, can play bully ball, and isn't afraid of contact. He fits well with Trevor's willingness to push the ball over the middle into tight windows, and he is an asset as a run blocker.
He has just a 25.4% route share the last two weeks, but is targeted on 27% of his routes.
