Witnessing a murmuration of starlings in Italy was absolutely breathtaking! 🇮🇹 Thousands of birds swirling together in a synchronized dance—nature's own aerial ballet.

We just lost another legend today From the sweeping landscapes of Planet Earth to the romance of You’ve Got Mail and the time-loop comedy of Groundhog Day, George Fenton spent decades giving unforgettable images their emotional voice. 🕊️ The acclaimed composer has unexpectedly passed away at 76, leaving behind more than five decades of music across film, television and documentaries. Fenton earned five Academy Award nominations, two Emmys and three BAFTAs, while collaborating with filmmakers including Richard Attenborough, Ken Loach and Nora Ephron. Throughout his career, the British composer became known for his remarkable versatility, moving effortlessly between sweeping nature documentaries, intimate dramas, romantic comedies and major Hollywood productions. Some of his most memorable works included: - Valiant - Planet Earth - The Blue Planet - Frozen Planet - Groundhog Day - Gandhi, co-composed with Ravi Shankar - You’ve Got Mail - Hitch - Ever After: A Cinderella Story - Sweet Home Alabama - Dangerous Liaisons - The Fisher King - Cry Freedom, co-composed with Jonas Gwangwa and many more! His music could make a wildlife documentary feel enormous, a romance feel warmer and a quiet dramatic moment carry far more weight than words alone. George Fenton spent his career composing in the background, yet millions of memories would sound completely different without him. Rest in peace, George Fenton 🤍
