The thing people don't understand about the whole Tekken 6 vs Tekken 8 discourse isn't that Tekken 6 is just the better game. It's just that Tekken 6 still carried the essence of old school technical play with its fast paced movement and critical thinking considering the game wasn't as forgiving as T8 for whiffing. Tekken 8 completely disregards the mindgames needed to lock down the opponent and it gives you super moves and meter cancels for effortless mix. Tekken 6 is much more fun because of the skill involved, balance was obviously all over the place and no one is denying that but the game is just much more enjoyable for the simple fact that you have so much freedom. Tekken 6 neutral is chess and Tekken 8 neutral is dice.
