Evidently there's a b2b SaaS company trying to popularize the term "data closet."
For Pride, I want to popularize the term "data glory hole."

When ppl say "the woke virus," it reminds me of "drapetomania," during enslavement which meant it was a contagious disease of the nervous system that caused the enslaved to want to run away. In other words, its a disease to say "Stop this injustice& inequity. You're hurting me."

It occurs to me that all the threats and violence against Pride in stores is exactly what evangelicals think is happening with their wholly imagined “War on Christmas.”

It's bait. It's all bait. It's an advertising campaign for their business built on viral denigration. Looking for hustle-culture pariahs. Your Twitter accounts are their billboards. There's always a website. There's always a podcast. There's always a sadist.

Language really does shape the world. If you care about art, stop using words like “creator” and “content.” It actively devalues what we do. Martin Scorsese is now called the same thing as a TikTok influencer. Words mean things, and language matters. Outrageous

one thing i think about a lot with the right’s pivot to these kinds of violent intimidation tactics en masse is it’s done in such a way that there can’t be any kind of moderating factor. there’s no incentive to step back — they just push the envelope further and further
.@Target claims that they are removing Pride merchandise from their stores to protect the security of their employees.
The message that anti-LGBTQ+ bigots and fascists will receive from this is that making violent threats works.
They will get worse.
