This week for #WeReadWednesday, we're totally hooked on superheroes! Not That Kind of Good Guy by @Jringo1508 and @caseymoops Conspiracy Theories Meet Superhero Reality ALL IT TAKES It’s there for anyone to see: There are dark forces at work on the world, working to destroy civilization. All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to stand by and do nothing. We need a good guy. NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES—BUT SOME DO For a generation, individuals have arisen with super powers, able to change the course of history, or at least save a few lives. But these people have free will—and not all choose to work for the forces of good. We need someone with an unblotted escutcheon, a Galahad for the 21st Century, someone pure of ethics and morality. NOT THAT KIND OF GOOD GUY What we get is Michael: the product of a broken childhood, raised in the foster system of one of America’s most dangerous inner cities, his wisdom comes from drug addicts and whores. Maybe he’s not the hero we asked for, but he’s the hero we need. And he’s about to hit puberty. It’s definitely my son, too. He’s actually been dragging a stuffed tiger with him everywhere since long before he knew about Calvin & Hobbes.

WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE by @Jringo1508 & @caseymoops (mass market) – CONSPIRACY THEORIES MEET SUPERHERO REALITY Dumped in an alleyway as a baby and raised in one of the most vicious inner cities this country has to offer, Michael Edwards' life changed forever when he acquired Earth powers and heard the words, “The Storm is Coming.” He trained those powers, forged a team with the other Junior Supers, and took down a vicious criminal. Then, he disappeared to hunt down the remains of that creature's gang on his own. Now, he's back in New York City. Not only is he looking for justice—no, vengeance—for what was done to his mother, but he also seeks the inheritance that's his due. Blocking the path to Michael's inheritance is The Society, a secret organization which runs most of the world and can best be described as pure evil. No teenage boy alive could possibly hope to bring down The Society on his own. Except, perhaps, for one Michael Edwards, aka Stone Tactical, aka Boogie Knight. The Society is about to get a visit, and they won’t know what hit them. baen.com/welcome-to-the-jung…. /5

This is the connected and equally horrible advice- “only use said, nothing else.” This then leads to advice to start removing it because you’re now overusing it.

Just did a signing at a bookstore that also had an event to give away “classic” books to high schoolers. While I was collecting my things, a young woman at the checkout counter was getting a copy of Cthulhu Mythos Tales.

Ahh! I never posted my latest release!! Buff Orpington versus the League of Conspicuous Evil follows an elite team on a critical mission when things go horribly strange and they’re dumped through quantum handwavium nonsense into a dystopian future of robot dinosaurs and savages!

Amazon’s probably best, my website’s pretty basic but it is easy to find all my books there.
