actually he knows all of these skaters by their full name but itโ€™s funnier to describe them by the way he did when he first asked me about them

ilia: [at sun valley practice] someone said remember who you are [...] and then i thought about it on a deeper level, and you know.. that's true. i should not forget who i am. i might be this crazy athlete [...] but its remembering the core values of me.

As a fan of Yuzuru's skating, the hate against Ilia is so bad that I cant even watch videos of Yuzu skating anymore. It just reminds me of their mindless hatred. It is accomplishing the exact opposite what I am assuming their goal is.

girl, i am so sick of f*nyus. "they make things up about him to feel better about ilia!" you're sending ilia death threats because he landed a jump after your "man" retired. pack it up.

The fact that he chose to stay till the end of the Olympics despite having a horrible experience, instead of flying back home to see his cats, once again proves just how mentally strong this guy is ๐Ÿฅน

it makes his fear gala even more meaningful for me bc it truly is such a powerful representation of pushing through adversity and experiencing something in its entire unpredictable and painful journey

ilia saying that he had the option to go home after his free skate but choosing to stay instead is so commendable and inspiring to me omg

Ilia talks about the invasive media after the 2026 Olympics IE "You'd expect after the competition they'd be videoing people on the podium. But there's 5 cameras in front of my face after I'm trying to process what just happened and I'm trying to call my mom"

Ilia talking about how skaters aren't allowed to set the same kind of boundaries with media as other sports because of how much smaller the sport is...but sure, let's keep justifying why fans should be able to freely express their hate towards skaters on social media!

bc letโ€™s be honest, a lot of ilia hate stems from the fact that he landed 4A and is superior to other skaters in some aspects. people were going off on him before he even established his place at the top. and the whole making up reasons to justify hating on him is very childish
