Panting, the pitter-patter of Panda's panicked steps echoed through the house, but only for a moment before he yelped. Shadowy appendages restrained him, wrapping around his arms, legs, torso, and even his neck.
Ugly Cat had left just a moment ago, leaving Panda alone with Bonehand. He was always dangerous to Panda, and his life had flashed before his eyes multiple times. But cowering behind Ugly Cat would never solve anything; he wouldn't hurt his cousin after all.
All the malicious side-glances and subtle gestures Bonehand had given him led to this moment—the one time Ugly Cat left. And now, he was under Bonehand's mercy. The seething tom before him could very well end his life, and Panda could do nothing but accept his fate.
But the end never came. His life was still within his reach. Bonehand walked closer towards him, his cold, jagged, skeletal fingers cupping Panda's chin. The gaze seemed to bore through Panda's eyes, laying bare his fears, and yet he was frozen. Bonehand scowled at him, seeing him as nothing more than a trash that stole his cousin from him.
A part of him wanted to end Panda right then and there, but he couldn't, for Panda was important to Ugly Cat, no matter how much he loathed him. Panda was a thorn in his side that could never be plucked out, a source of annoyance that plagued him every day. But if he couldn't kill him, then he'd make the boy suffer.
If he was forced to live with a prey he couldn't feast on, then the very least he could do was to enjoy it—to play with him, make him a distraction, a punching bag, something he could torment until his cousin came back. His scowl turned into one of curiosity. He turned over Panda's cheek and then the other, his eyes narrowing. "W-What?" Panda whimpered.
"Maybe I have some use for you, after all." Bonehand examined Panda, his face filled with malice. The threat of death no longer swarmed Panda as much as it did before. However, there were many things worse than death, and Panda could do nothing but sigh and obey. He knew what he was getting into after all when he begged to be adopted by Ugly Cat.

TLDR: My house renovation goes wrong due to incompetence of the workers. Need to redo and repair so many things because of some of the structures are outright dangerous to live in.

An alternate ending if Panda decides to stay with Ugly Cat instead of leaving. I can't write the exact dialogue, but basically after that final battle with Bonehand where Panda almost got killed by him, Ugly Cat slumped and felt remorse for the first time in forever. He apologized for everything he did to Panda, and he only wished to be a better father figure to him. Panda immediately hugged him and said he was glad to have Daniel back.
...This won't be the true ending, but it's nice to see the possibility.
