Potters Fields with a view across the river towards the Tower of London, 1987 From a brilliant book of London photographs 1980 - 1990 by Tim Brown. What I'd give to walk those streets again. All shiny glass buildings across London these days but with zero character.

They called Jason Arday a fraud, a plagiarist They said his work was "high school level." They published it in The Times, The Telegraph, GB News. They made him the face of "DEI mediocrity." They hunted him for weeks. Taylor & Francis investigated twice and found no plagiarism.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Taylor & Francis cleared one paper, but in 2024 its own journal corrected another paper for text overlap, and he admitted errors in his thesis. Ohio State, Glasgow, Durham, Coventry denied he held the visiting posts he claimed. Ohio State had no record of him at all retractionwatch.com/2026/07/27/cam… varsity.co.uk/news/31918 thecollegefix.com/cambridge-dei-… en.ara.cat/international/… aljazeera.com/news/2026/8/6/… bylinetimes.com/2026/10/21/jas…

It was an honour to meet and talk with Prince Albert Jacob, who at 101 years old is one of the few surviving Caribbean veterans to have served in WWII, at a ceremony onboard HMS Belfast organised by the Jamaican ex Soldiers Association. Prince joined the RAF in 1943, aged 17. In 1953 he got married to Mary (pic), who went on to be a deputy headteacher whilst he worked for the post office.

#ThreeBridesForTheDevil @Sally_Nicholls A brilliantly subversive, feminist retelling of the traditional ‘Bluebeard’ legend. Nicolls’ retelling flips the narrative & gives us intelligent and capable sisters who ultimately get the upper hand. @AndersenPress #JohnBroadley

Fun fact: Despite what the $7k-per-post crowd would have you believe, NOT a single church was burnt down during the French student protests. Meanwhile, all of Gaza’s historic churches have been bombed by Israel, including St. Porphyrius (Greek Orthodox), Holy Family (Catholic) and Gaza Baptist (Protestant). People like Farage, Tommy Robinson and Lowe don't seem to care about those churches for some reason.

This one's spectacular. In the 1960s, London's Mews were still being used to keep horses. This clip spoils us with a lovely glimpse of the people, pubs, and lifestyle among the cobbled backstreets that have since become expensive housing. They certainly had more personality then than nowadays. @Britains___Pubs

JD is saying Amy Acton was not raped as a little girl. Even though there are court documents reviewed by *National Review* that confirm details of her story. Even though Acton’s brother backs her story. Vance has a daughter. But like Bernie Moreno, Vance is such a sycophant that he can’t even be a father first for two minutes. It’s always politics and always the most vile politics. Just an abject failure of a man and a father.
Vance defends Vivek Ramaswamy's ad featuring Amy Acton's estranged mother: "The media and Democrats are obsessed because Vivek Ramaswamy had the audacity to run a TV commercial that calls it like it is"
