Chocolate Bamboo

Look at how J cole describes his pen and u guys are rushing the review. I get it u wanna say what u wanna say and first impressions are valid (me included btw) I’ve been listening to J cole since I was 12/13…..The older you get the more you realise this music ting is SPIRITUAL. If you are a creative, this is the clearest way to explain what it feels like when your CRAFT (music, art, fashion tbh EVERYTHING) comes from God. I cannot rush a review when an artist like J COLE has trusted us with their process (READ THE PIC) Current Bible study is all about ‘Becoming’. The idea of fruit and seed matters here!! We ALL carry seed & the work in this life is to be FRUITFUL with it GOD YAHWEH is the ultimate creator, and creativity moves through people in different forms! What Cole shared is not ego. It is documentation (his whole discography)! It is him showing what he is doing with the seed he was given His career mirrors the Parable of the Talents for me. The tension between hiding the gift and multiplying it! This album feels like the final stage of that journey. He is no longer chasing the goals he placed on himself. He is chasing God.. chasing the creativity not what the things creativity can give him! The Fall Off reads like falling off expectations, not falling off purpose So yeah I’m not ready to give my opinion Coz there’s A LOT to unpack for ME
