We wake to the first day in living memory when church bells have not called people to worship. For 6 days of the week we bell ringers will miss our hobby or practice session - on the 7th day we will miss our purpose. Look forward to the sound of bells coming back.

The 10 bells at Christ Church, in #Crewe town centre, have been silent since October 2013. But at 3.45pm, bell ringers from across Cheshire will come together to ring a 15-minute piece, launching our ‘When the Light Goes Out’ event – part of our Cheshire East Reflects programme.

This week, it’s the final #TwilightTour with bells of 2018. Come along to @LivCathedral Thursday after 6.30pm and see the #highestandheaviest #bells in action, meet the #Bellringers. Get next to the bells and try out our #bellsimulator! Finish off with #sunset from the roof!
