Men don’t respect other men who treat women well. In fact, they often resent them and ensure they are ostracized from the male community.
This is actually taste to me.
These newer estates have the same grey boring paint, no gardens, no pools, no tennis courts, the apartments are smaller and there are 5000 units.🥲

This reads almost poetically… tragically so

I read both her and will’s book and a lot that relationship is Jada having to compromise and play the bad guy because will is likable and the bigger star
Jada Pinkett Smith clarifies the Red Table Talk “entanglement, revealing she and Will Smith had been completely separated since 2016 and why she took the blame as an adulteress
“There been several breakups between Will and I… 2016 came and we had the ultimate break. But the world didn’t know. And I think that that’s where some of the misconception about having an open marriage came into play because we were living lives as single people. And the world didn’t know… I played a part in the misconception of that narrative of allowing myself to be portrayed as an adulteress, allowing myself to be portrayed as someone that had betrayed Will, and that wasn’t the case. We broke up in 2016… When we got to the table, Will wasn’t ready. He wasn’t ready for the world to know that. I had to respect that… I was ready to let go of the persona I had created around myself.”

yess, contextual hotness is a thing. this reminds me of that modern family episode where phil decides to not take ‘no’ for an answer and helps cam get his dryer in the correct colour, forcing cam to ask the needful question: “is phil sexy?”
“When she died, I said “come into me”. I want her spirit to live in me. I wanted to live the life I was living because how much she’d given up”
🥺🥺 exactly this. All of it.
Kathy Bates says she was sure she never thanked her mother in her Misery Oscar speech, then the interviewer showed her the tape
"She gave up her retirement because I was born so late in life to them."
"When I won the Oscar for Misery, she said, I don't know what all the excitement about, you didn't discover the cure for cancer."
"Why did I think I didn't thank her?"
"Because she should have had my life."
"I wanted her spirit to come into me and enjoy everything I was enjoying because of what she'd given up."
Her mom's whole review of the Oscar was that she didn't cure cancer, and Kathy still believed she had shorted her that night. Then she watches herself thank her mom at home, right there in the speech. Some people never stop trying to pay their parents back. You can hear it in how quiet she gets at the end.

It’s interesting how we translate certain things. The difference will always intrigue me.
I see this as one those uyamtefela umtu wakho instances. Cute and at most would be met with a little tease and compliance. They’d have to wait until 7:30 to have a good day
Not a science but every time I’ve interacted with a younger brother, it’s always been obvi.
Only sons are a different breed nje 😭❤️ pros and cons in equal parts. ⚖️
