Read the whole thing. One question it never answers: who is the market maker?
Your definition of A book is orders that "fill against other participants." But anyone CAN take the other side isn't anyone DOES. Vest's NQ book is quoted by one maker posting symmetrical levels all day, and in this morning's snapshots most price levels were only that maker's blocks. So most funded fills hit that one maker.
If that maker is Vest, a funded trader winning means Vest losing. That's your own B book definition. Naming the maker settles it in one sentence, and the article doesn't. "Directionally aligned with funded traders" only works if the other side isn't you, and you haven't said it isn't.
On the terms: an iTunes nuclear weapons joke isn't the same as your terms saying every account, including instant funded, is "simulated," payouts come from "general corporate funds," you "do not represent that payouts are funded by profitable live trading," and you can "act contrary to Trade Ideas."
You also confirmed NQ-USD is less liquid than CME and its tape can look completely different. That's what I showed, and funded accounts get judged on that thinner book at your leverage.
So I'll ask again:
Who quotes the book?
What share of funded volume fills against that maker?
How are mark and index calculated? (docs say an aggregate of NASDAQ, NYSE, CME and BlueOcean, you just said the CME feed)
How many traders are on real live capital?
What is your daily revenue, fees and TVL from the live exchange (not the prop)?
That's all public for Vest Classic on DefiLlama: TVL peaked at $31M in Oct 2025 and is about $231K today, down over 99%. Monthly fees fell from $1.53M last August to $32K this month. Why isn't Vest Markets tracked too? Was the rebrand about hiding that?
It should be pretty easy for you to answer these and then you would shut every doubter like me up instantly.

Vest is a scam.
Their NQ-PERP is supposed to mirror CME's Nasdaq future. It doesn't move like it.
I went through every minute of Vest's NQ against CME from Oct 15 to 25. Vest moves more, it makes moves CME never made, and when it moves on its own, it mostly moves down.

Vest’s CEO has said Vest is the only A book prop firm, and has said repeatedly that they win when traders win and that “your profits don’t come from our losses”.
I ran the numbers using Vest’s own prices, order book and terms. Even granting every A book claim in full, the evaluation fees are what pay the funded traders

Yesterday I posted about my Vest account getting blown on the same NQ trade that barely put my Tradovate account in drawdown, and got told by all the Vest glazers that I "don’t understand perps"
So I went through Vest’s entire docs, their terms, and their public price data. Vest is not what it claims to be.
I will genuinely never use @VestExchange again. What is this discrepancy?
I entered practically the same trade on both my Tradovate and Vest accounts, yet somehow my Vest account is blown while my Tradovate account is barely in drawdown

My concern is what happens when these products become people’s first experience of perpetuals.
Rapid liquidations and payouts dependent on future losses risk defining the entire category in the public’s mind.
I think normalizing those mechanics this early is poison for the industry’s credibility.
I believe perpetuals can become one of the most important asset classes in the world.
That future needs transparent execution, reliable settlement, meaningful liquidity, and responsible risk controls.
Founders, affiliates, exchanges, prop firms, and DeFi protocals and creators should hold products to that standard before endorsing them for an affiliate check.
They've been lying from the start. @andrew_nfx finally pointing out the obvious because he's not an affiliate sellout like the rest.

Like wtf is this @VestExchange
That wick slipped through my stop losses and blew 5 accounts...... Like literally a scam
Does nobody realize Vest is a dying exchange using a prop firm as a last resort?
I’m surprised nobody on Twitter is looking at DefiLlama. Not that shocking though. Most people in prop don’t read exchange metrics and most affiliates will push anything for the right amount.
Oct 2025:
TVL $23.58m
Perp volume $1.095b
OI $20.48m
Sep 2026:
TVL $186k
Perp volume $2.213b
OI $94.53m
TVL is user funds sitting in the protocol. That’s the real capital trading on the live exchange.
Open interest is how much size is currently open.
They roughly doubled volume while TVL fell ~99%. So the “exchange” is doing more notional on about 1% of the user capital it used to have. That’s not growth. Those are inflated metrics that don't add up.
Before I called it out, they were mixing sim volume into the live venue with no distinction. That’s why to me the prop looks less like a product and more like a way to keep volume alive.
Hopefully this makes some affiliates actually look into what they are pushing.
