This is the true shape of our planet, known as GEOID.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The geoid is a mathematical equipotential surface approximating mean sea level under gravity, not the physical shape of Earth's surface. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geoid oceanservice.noaa.gov/education/tuto…

UX tip: use an accessible typeface
For example, I use Inter but the default characters for uppercase I and lowercase L look the same:
→ Il
The same goes for uppercase o and zero:
→ 0O
But some fonts, including Inter can be configured so that they’re easy to distinguish with just CSS:
font-feature-settings: "cv08", "cv05", "zero";
See the difference in the screenshot below ↓
ALT Left column shows hard-to-read text with ambiguous characters and red underline; right column shows same text with clearer font distinction and green underline.

Dear Ozzy,
I’m gonna miss you. Not nearly as much as your incredible soulmate, Mrs. Osbourne. Thank you for everything you’ve done for us all.
See you on the other side!

Just so everyone knows, we have passed the point where you can tell what is AI at a glance (or even, in many cases, a close look)

The Adventures of Prince Achmed is the earliest animated feature that survives today. It's from 1926 -- and it's a masterpiece.
Director Lotte Reiniger and her team set out to make a movie unlike any other, and they succeeded. We tell the story:
