Using the C4D MCP via my phone through Claude is pretty amazing. Having it set up takes or show me options on something while I’m sitting on the couch is crazy.

A little eye candy for your next holiday render.
This batch of Holiday Materials is all about the sweet details: gold chocolate foil, chocolate crunch, sprinkles, frosting, waffle cone, gingerbread, and gumdrops.
Perfect for adding a little extra flavor to your holiday renders.

“Hey, go try these ten HDRIs on this scene and gimme me a labeled contact sheet in the morning. Also, give me a summary of new Slack messages, emails, and my schedule, and…”
We just dropped a ton of holiday-themed materials including some really nice candy materials. I guess Christmas came early 🎅🎄😆
Making a list. Rendering it twice.
Clients always ask for a second version. With plenty of color and pattern variations in the new Holiday Material collection, version two is a simple material swap.

Set up an entire C4D scene for a plugin demo, spending 80% of the time working through the MCP and 20% clicking. 🤯 The best part is being able to focus on the creative parts while Claude/MCP handle the grunt work.
Couple of people asked how skills work in Claude. Here is a VERY simplified explanation. And as always you can just ask Claude to explain it as well.
I made a skill for the C4D MCP to create exploded view animations. I gave it a complete mess of a CAD file too, and after it cooked for two minutes, I got this result. Insane. I’m going to make so many skills! 😆
💡 Take control of your lights.
@GSG3D's Redshift Light Manager brings your Cinema 4D lighting setup into one dedicated view.
Solo lights. Make precise adjustments. Edit multiple lights together. All without digging through the Object Manager.

A finished scene file teaches things a tutorial skips.
Partition Distribution is the new Cloner mode in Cinema 4D 2026.3, and it does a lot with one object. Pack clones into a grid, cut it up, animate the Time parameter, and watch it reshuffle.
In this tutorial, Nick builds one start to finish. Plus, he’s giving you the scene file for free.

Last year I lobbied the amazing @AcademySwf OpenPBR group to get Specular Haze implemented into the OpenPBR uber material and I’m happy to say that it’s out! So far I’ve only seen it in @OTOY Octane and @arnoldrenderer (where you at @maxonredshift ) thnx @ShawnAstrom for spotting it in Octane and thanks to @AdrienHerubel and the talent over there for shipping this feature!
I told the Cinema 4D MCP to “give me some traffic” (via Claude Opus 5.5) using a scene a team member assembled using our Paris kit and some of our vehicle models.
It rigged the wheels and placed/animated the cars on the road in less than 15 minutes. “Add more traffic” - no problem, 10 more cars rolling down the road. 🤯
(originally thought it had the wheels rotating the wrong way but it’s just an optical illusion 😆)

Clean cuts of light across a product come from controlling throw, not brightness.
💡 Tip: Set the length of the hood before you touch intensity. Length is the strongest control over how tight the beam gets. Then pull Size X and Size Y apart to stretch the opening from a circle into a slot that runs across the product.

Don’t get me wrong I really like Redshift but man I still miss working in Arnold. The level of control, the look, the thoughtfulness. Sigh.
Ok this C4D MCP is insane. Created a bubble generator that can create animated soda fizz or stationary bubbles that you'd see in hand blown glass. 🤯 Might have to graduate this into a legit plugin.
