🚨 New CLG Podcast is live 🚨
Two years since our last episode, @Crypto___Oracle and I discuss how institutional adoption is reshaping crypto and who will benefit as tokenization scales
This one was long overdue

.@ChainLinkGod shares who he thinks will capture the most value in onchain finance:
"who owns the user relationship and who owns the business relationships, and i think that comes down to the application layer and the middleware layer"
"if anyone is able to crack the middleware + application layer that would be absolutely goated"

Today, equity perps can begin trading for the first time on @CFTC registered exchanges.
This move reflects my commitment to ensuring that America’s markets remain the most innovative, liquid, and well-regulated in the world. Instead of being forced to turn to offshore, unregulated venues to access equity perpetual futures, Americans may now access equity perps on CFTC-regulated markets subject to robust safeguards.
I appreciate the continued partnership of @SECGov and @SECPaulSAtkins as we work to further harmonize our agencies' regulatory initiatives.

Today, I’m sharing my first letter to the KMNO community as CEO
Since joining @kamino , I’ve been asked a version of the same question by longtime KMNO holders and people getting to know us for the first time. As Kamino grows, where does the value we create go?
It’s a fair question, particularly as we work to bring Kamino into banks, brokerages and wallets, through which our goal is to allow millions of people to earn on their capital or borrow against assets they already own.
The answer starts with how Kamino was built. The Kamino Foundation owns the intellectual property and receives all revenue, including revenue from institutional partnerships. KMNO is the only token. The founders, our investors, the team and I have our upside tied to the same token our community holds. None of us has a separate equity allocation.
What we do with the revenue matters, too. We’re committing at least $20 million over the next two years to expand the assets people can use on Kamino, and bring Kamino's credit and liquidity infrastructure to more of the platforms consumers already use today.
I wrote my first letter to KMNO holders to put those decisions on the record. I also share why I chose to make most of my own KMNO allocation vest only when it reaches and sustains a series of valuation milestones.
One Kamino. One KMNO.
I asked @ChainLinkGod what makes the ethereum:0x514910771af9ca656af840dff83e8264ecf986ca Marines community so strong, and here’s what he said:
“The Link Marines were the first group of people in crypto that really understood the potential of tokenization and the inevitable institutional adoption of crypto.”
“A lot of people in crypto see it as a Ponzi trading, speculative casino.”
“But the Link Marines were the first to really see that blockchain and smart contract technology can be a lot more than that.”
“The Link Marines saw that back in 2017.”
“Now it’s actually coming to fruition in a real way, at real scale.”
“That creates a level of conviction that I don’t think a lot of other crypto communities have.”
"Tokenization is really just in the early innings"
Got to ask @ChainLinkGod of @chainlink why the banks picked Chainlink and what keeps the Link Marines from ever selling:

00:17 Why are traditional instituions choosing Chainlink?
00:59 How does Chainlink actually make 24/7 trading work
01:56 What makes the LinkMarine community so strong?
03:01 What did the banks see in Chainlink?

Glad we have Price working so closely with us, he is going to have a lot more work now that all financial markets are going on-chain 24/7 but I think with Chainlink he can handle it well.

The FBI is releasing information advising the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) was responsible for the theft of more than $6 billion USD in virtual assets from cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, on or about October 29, 2026. The FBI refers to this specific North Korean malicious cyber activity as "TraderTraitor."
The FBI, together with partners at the USSS and IRS-CI, has observed TraderTraitor actors converting stolen assets primarily into Ethereum (ETH). It is expected these assets will then be further laundered by converting them using DeFi and instant swap services as they prepare them for further laundering stages.
How You Can Help:
FBI, USSS, and IRS-CI are urging private sector entities including THORNode operators, RPC node operators, instant exchanges, DeFi services, blockchain analytics firms, and other virtual asset service providers to block transactions with or derived from addresses TraderTraitor actors are using to launder these stolen assets.
A list of addresses associated with this activity is available here: fbi.gov/investigate/cyber/al…

The U.S. Secret Service continues to investigate the theft of more than $6 billion in cryptocurrency from Binance Global.
Within minutes of the incident on Thursday afternoon, Secret Service investigators worked with industry partners to identify and freeze a significant portion of stolen cryptocurrency. That work continues with the @FBI, @IRS_CI, the @USAO_DC and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, DOJ CCIPS, and @DOJNatSec.
A list of addresses that are holding or have held assets from the theft can be found here: fbi.gov/investigate/cyber/al…

Thanks for asking. Having hundreds of banking and capital markets leaders at a Chainlink event is helpful for the present but also future months and years. Behind the scenes, there were dozens of meetings with current / potential partners during the event. We had multiple new announcements during the week some of which have already prompted inbound requests from other firms. Sergey discussed the importance of LINK during his keynote including the expectation that some future partnership announcements would include purchasing, holding, and paying with the token. Also got some helpful feedback from community members during the event that we already started discussing later that day. More things I am sure but those are some quick Halloween thoughts.

"Most blockchain networks are largely commoditized."
It’s an opinion Zach Rynes admits is controversial and not everyone agrees with.
His reasoning: chains are now fast, cheap and share the same features, so value flows to whoever owns the user and business relationships. That means the application and middleware layers.
The exception he points to is Hyperliquid, built specifically for trading.

Zach Rynes says Chainlink will eventually work like a seal of approval.
Users won’t need to know how it works under the hood. They’ll only need to see that a product uses it.
When they see “it uses Chainlink,” Zach says, the reaction is simple.
“Okay, it’s secure.”
“I know it’s been validated. I know it’s been approved by all the parties because they all trust Chainlink infrastructure.”
Trading, betting and lending all rely on the same reliable connectivity.
That trust took years to build.

Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified.
The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far.
Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company’s funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete.
As an immediate precaution, Binance has:
- temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed;
- revoked the affected address authorisation;
- engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds.
Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice.
Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates. Please feel free to contact Binance Customer Support if you have any further questions.

Zach Rynes says blockchains and smart contracts can’t work without something like @Chainlink connecting them.
“People look at blockchains and they think that a blockchain is like the internet.”
“But I think a blockchain is more like a server.”
“You still need one unified internet to connect everything.”
“I don’t really see a world where we have blockchains and smart contracts without something like Chainlink.”
“If you don’t have this substrate, I genuinely don’t see how any of this technology is supposed to work otherwise.”
“It’s really that substrate that makes every interesting use case in our industry possible.”
