Investing in and partnering with European founders is my life’s work. I’ve been doing it since 2011, and for the past six years I’ve been privileged to do it at the legendary Sequoia, alongside greats like @Alfred_Lin @dougleone @gradypb @andrew__reed and @shaunmmaguire to name a few. This experience made me a better investor and a better partner to founders.
At @sequoia I’ve learned that the sky is the limit, literally. @SpaceX is the bar, and life is too short not to make big, bold bets. I’ve also learned that the best in the world are relentless and never rest on their laurels; the level of drive and ambition concentrated in this already highly accomplished team is nothing short of extraordinary.
I want to give a huge shout-out to @biad_anas @_georgerobson and @JulienBek, my partners in crime in the London office and the best team I have ever worked with. This is what true camaraderie feels like, and I am proud of the work we did partnering in the very early days with the great founders of Pennylane, STARK, Profound, Rillet, Robco, Serval, Nevis, Avelios, Aspora and Trade Republic just to name a few.
My conviction on Europe hasn’t moved, and neither am I; when given the opportunity to move to San Francisco, I chose to stay here and focus on this wonderful, imperfect ecosystem. Europe is where my family is, and where I want to build.
I’ll remain a Partner at Sequoia and continue serving on the boards of my portfolio companies, while also investing personally in the next generation of extraordinary European founders. More to share on my next steps soon. For now, I am looking forward to spending some time with my newborn.

Schwab's strategic investment will deepen our partnership and unlock more AI-powered workflows for the 16,000+ independent RIAs they serve. QuantumLight is the venture capital firm founded by Revolut founder and CEO Nik Storonsky.
