We’ve gone from vaxxines promising full protection to “lessening symptoms” and lasting only 10 weeks.
They don’t stop infection, transmission, hospitalisation or death.
They have a dodgy safety record and will require repeated boosters.

Omicron has been in South Africa a month now..
deaths attributed to Covid have basically not moved.
Their scientists and doctors are going on our TVs to say it’s mild, yet our Government ramps up the fear.
I despair at the damage to people’s mental health and others businesses.

I absolutely agree with the importance of giving people the choice whether to have the booster ASAP (I've had mine).
Vaccine passports however are ineffective, counterproductive and unethical.
Mandatory vaccination should be categorically ruled out. No conversation is needed.

Omicron though fast spreading is mild. No deaths from it anywhere in the world.

So, yes, we don’t yet know about omicron (weird name). But why do we always have to face the Armageddon scenario? Thus far, I’ve seen no difference in people I’ve treated in intensive care between the variants. The likelihood is that this one will be the same.
