It looks like the good ole Pantip Plaza, (in)famous for all kinds of computer hardware and software of...err...dubious legality and contents, is a big food court now.
As a world-class foodie destination, the Phenix is one such project that brings together a broad range of flavorful and savory Thai fares. It will also serve as a venue to convene activities on our active and exciting food industry bringing both domestic and international food scenes together, and thereby invigorating our “Thai Kitchen to the World” objective with the aim of becoming an Agriculture and Food Hub of the world.

32 years ago in 1991 the Soviet Union collapsed and Ukraine declared independence. That year I was graduating from high school. The world around me crumbled. I realized that my life was a lie. Everything I had been taught about the world was not true 1/

My twitter feed is full of people supporting Data Colada against a $25 million dollar lawsuit from Francesca Gino when they blew the whistle on her data fraud. At the exact same time Harvard Business Review is promoting an article from Gino about how “speaking up” is dangerous!

if someone is a speaker of Saxon varieties, are they a Saxophone? since there's Low and Upper Saxon varieties, i suppose a speaker of Upper Saxon is an Altosaxophone
one thing i adore about English is the language's obsession with unpredictable words for "speaker-of-language-X" that take the form of "Latin prefix + Greek suffix '-phone'", such as "Anglophone", "Francophone", "Lusophone".

This is absolutely hilarious (h/t Al Roth): a business ethics paper examining references to Machiavelli accidentally identified the cluster of matching theory papers cross-citing "Machiavelli and the Gale-Shapley algorithm" and "Ms. Machiavelli and the stable matching problem," which naturally have nothing to do with The Prince 💀 marketdesigner.blogspot.com/…

(มีต่อ) – at Seo-gu, Republic of Korea

“Thai voters have never won popular sovereignty. So by voting in droves for the leading parties opposing royal-military supremacy, Thailand’s people are not exercising their popular sovereignty; they are demanding it.” Insightful takes from @SlaterPolitics as always!
In a nation like #Thailand where monarchy and military reign supreme, voting for democratic opposition is not an EXERCISE OF popular sovereignty: it’s a DEMAND FOR popular sovereignty. That makes it a revolutionary act. My latest @JoDemocracy: journalofdemocracy.org/thail…
