wow this guy is so brave
Fuck it, I'll do it now.
The Iran war's effect on the economy is why Republicans lost. Nobody would have cared about Iran if it hadn't affected energy prices. Nobody actually cares about your Israel conspiracy theories or bombed schools full of Iranian schoolchildren or other insane gobbledygook. Just like nobody cared about Iraq until it hit their bottom line; Lynndie England was running a one-woman femdom show at Abu Ghraib and it had fuck all effect on Bush's reelection because the economy was good.
If Trump had ripped off the Band-Aid and turbonuked Iran months ago, we'd be in a far better position. We've WON, but energy prices are still up and nothing is happening. It doesn't LOOK like we've won to many people.
The blame for this is with JD Vance, since the MOU and these other bullshit negotiations are his baby. There may have been a diplomatic value in showing that Iran is unreasonable even when we give them a good deal, but if there was, it's long gone.
There's a lot to like about Vance, but he really fucked up here and it's probably going to spike his presidential ambitions.

FORBIDDEN STUDIOS PRESENTS: THE FIFTH DIMENSION
MAGATARD discusses the MIDTERMS.
Two microphones. Five dimensions. Not a single second thought.
Kinda crazyv this graph from 2016 is still being used on the daily
People need to burn this map into the back of their head.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This is a 2016 pre-election hypothetical map by Ste Kinney-Fields (using FiveThirtyEight data), not actual results or current data. 2016 exit polls showed less extreme patterns; 2024 exit polls show Trump gains with Hispanic & Black men.

i take back anything positive i said about starlink
❗️ A Dutch Starlink user says he got a Paramount piracy notice within two days of torrenting a single episode of Dexter: Resurrection.
Starlink forwarded it with a warning that further downloads could get his service suspended or terminated and put him at risk of legal action.
He says 24 years of torrenting had never brought him a single notice before. In the Netherlands, the Supreme Court ruled in 2021 that a major ISP did not have to hand alleged pirates' details to a film distributor. So the user thought he was safe.
Starlink, a US company bound by the DMCA, has said it is obliged to pass such notices on.
