love this so much…
Following up … SEG is all in on growing hockey in Utah and doing it fast. To get started, SEG will donate up to $500K per rink on up to 20 new rinks. We’ll have out-of-the box plans for cities that can partner with entrepreneurs to build. Utah is the land of entrepreneurs. And we’ll help line up anything else to make this happen. More details after the season! #BabcockDesign

Forty banks refused to finance it. Other team owners said it wasn’t viable. Now, Kansas City’s women’s soccer stadium is sold out. It’s a worldwide blueprint for women’s sports. And it’s hosting the 2024 NWSL title game. on.wsj.com/4cLb90j on.wsj.com/4cLb90j

It all comes back to family, to car rides, to the fun, the sweat, and the battle. But mostly, the love....When children see unspoken sacrifice from their parents, it seeps into their consciousness like a 7-Eleven Slurpee. Sacrifice becomes a part of who they are. That's why hockey players are considered by fans and media as the best athletes to deal with away from the game. The humility of hockey, the roots of their upbringing and the cause and the difficulty of the sport, with very few exceptions, keeps players grounded.
