Yo, Trashfather @ROBNESSOFFICIAL! I have an art experiment I want to (re)kick off. I’d be honored if you’d be the first pass it along. You game?
Hot Potato 2.0 Let’s resurrect this experiment again: a 1/1 NFT passed around the world. “Hot potato, hot potato. HOT, HOT, HOT!” We continually pass this hot potato to the next player wallet-to-wallet via airdrop — indefinitely.🥔 #tezhotpotato Let’s see how many people participate. A few? A dozen? A thousand? A bajillion? All verifiable via the blockchain ledger. Be careful. The tater is hot. Pass it quickly!🥵🔥

3/ BACKGROUND: Hot Potato 1.0 had up to 100 passes between individual wallets between 2021-2023. Dozens of people from the Tezos community showed up and participated. It was great fun. (SHOUTOUT to @MerchantCoppola for starting it off.🥳) But then, someone accidentally sent it to a contract address. Which to my understanding, is now stuck in purgatory with no way to be transferred out of the contract address. (Tech wizards, is this correct?) Three years later, I want to keep the experiment alive with a fresh start. Thus 2.0 is minted. xitter.cf/cheapbitcoinart/status…

#HEN community: Who wants to play HOT POTATO with an NFT? 🥔 1/1 NFT passed around the world. “Hot potato, hot potato. HOT, HOT, HOT!” ♨️ It’s a “hot” potato, you don’t want to hold it for too long. Catch it, then quickly pass to a friend. Who’s in? #HENhotpotato

5/ This is an open community art experiment. You’re welcome to creatively contribute ideas to as you see fun. For example: countdowns, trackers, music, etc. Allow the art to take a life of its own.🚀

Introducing: FACES. A collection with a whole buncha 1/1 #pareidolia and simple message: Art can be as simple as the act of “seeing.” And if this seeing elicits a reaction in the Viewer, say a smile or chuckle, then Art has done its job. 🥳 objkt.com/collection/KT1GpTS…

At what point do we start considering our pieces as "vintage NFTs"? 😆

I like how the drum’s timing is dragging a little bit. Slow in some parts. On-time in others. But it definitely feels like a human hand. And I think this “imperfection” — maybe even sloppiness — this humanness is what’s going to stand out from the ocean of AI/machine-made things. We feel it as people. We feel the “naturalness” of the art piece. And as long as we are Homo Sapiens, we will always value this. Because it remind us of us. This is not to knock on AI/machine-made things. These things are impressive as well. God knows I love a drum beat that’s locked-on. God knows I appreciate AI-made things that are made with intention. Absolute mechanical perfection has its merits. But they are different merits. I feel that pitting human-made against AI-made is the wrong way to look at things. It’s like “apples vs oranges.” They each have qualities that make them special that don’t overlap. They should be considered separate categories altogether. In that way they don’t supplant each other. They are considered for the qualities that make them unique.

The first humans to reaching and live on Mars is an interesting story. The first generation of human Martians born from those astronauts will be even more interesting.🥳

You know how we used to gather around the couch and show each other our printed photo albums and scrapbooks? I think I’ll be doing that with my grandkids for my digital files. Sharing photos and screenshots, etc on the big screen.😀
