(1) Tom is a wonderful chemistry ambassador; this award is so well-deserved. 🧪👨🔬
(2) If you love #chemistry or #ChemEd or #scicomm , and you’ve never heard of Tom before, have you been living under a rock? 😆

Another year in the books but I didn’t realize the significance of the c/o 2024. Coming out of the pandemic (a low point of my life), everyone needed to adjust helped me get back to feeling like myself again as a teacher. C/o 2024, you have a special place in my heart! Congrats!
Been pretty MIA due to AP testing and finishing up my @NBPTS portfolios. What a relief that to be done with them this past weekend. If you are interested in pursuing this, read this blog from @chemhemling chemedx.org/blog/my-hero%E2%… It’s helpful to get a chem teacher’s perspective.
Late post but got the honor to celebrate two students earning a scholarship from @sangorgonioacs through the Chemistry Olympiad. Proud of what these two accomplished in such a short time. They finished in the top 8 in our region and qualified to take the National Exam.

Ms. Yu-Wong has spent 26 years at @Walnut_Mustangs educating & inspiring young minds!
Congrats Ms. Yu-Wong on this prestigious honor!
Take a look how we surprised her today with the help of her Science colleagues 🥳
Such a super fun time playing songs I grew up with. Thanks for the opportunity!!!
#TodayatWHS four of our teachers formed the ultimate rock band called Classroom Management & performed for our students.
They unleashed the 90’s during lunch with songs from U2, Nirvana, & Stone Temple Pilots!
Waiting for the album to drop @chemlimination!!
Some students made this for my classroom this Lunar New Year. Apparently, the Chinese names of these elements in this order (right to left) translates to a common saying during the new year. My Chinese skills are poor so I’ll have to trust them. Happy Early Lunar New Year!
Something to think about for my AP class. Thoughts? 🤔🤔🤔
