racism isn't "edgy" humor or a differing "opinion." it's harm. it's abuse. it's violence. it's dehumanization. it's a system of power. it's cruelty.

anyways remember that your little “learning experiences” are black ppls traumas. racism is a traumatizing experience and no one has to forgive you for it ever.

i don’t believe anyone when they say racist/otherwise cruel teenagers were just naive. they absolutely knew better. knowing better and doing it anyway was the appeal. they liked being edgy and thought it was funny. don’t pretend the wrongness of the thing wasn’t the entire “joke”

When I got beat up as a child because I’m brown, that was just ‘general racism’ guys, not your special aunty semiconductor racism, my bad.

y'all are always so quick to defend and victimize former racists because they were teenagers who "just had an edgy phase", but never care about the countless black & brown teenagers who were on the recieving end of that "edgy phase"

It’s so crazy people are turning this slayyyter shit into “we were all bigoted when we were teenagers” when that’s not true? The kids you were torturing every day bc they were a minority definitely weren’t

Proofreading a smutty poem that's in my new book (forthcoming this spring) and I'm blushing again, even though it's been years since I wrote it.

There are many cheesy poems (some I adore), but are there many poems *about* cheese?

Always funny to realize that your personal favorite pieces among your own writing are sometimes (often?) not what other people gravitate toward. It's like, Are they wrong? Am I? Do I just have more of an emotional connection to these? But these *are* the best! Are they, though?
