“My great problem in life”, King Charles III once said as Prince of Wales, “is that I do not really know what my role in life is.” Now, four years into his reign, the question is not whether he has a role but whether he is doing any of his many jobs well economist.com/britain/2026/1…

Breaking: Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been served with a summons to give evidence in a High Court fraud trial. It could cast an interesting light on his finances. He's the first royal with such a witness summons since the 19th Century.

On the gin tonics
Is something MEDICALLY wrong with Camilla...has she been drinking? There is no end to her BIZARRE behaviours. First, she shakes this woman’s hand and doesn’t even bother to look in her direction. APPALLING. Then, she discards her SHOES? Where does she think she is? Everyone there is capable of walking on sand. Her heel is barely 1” off the ground. Could she not have worn flats? She starts to STARE OFF into space. Then doesn’t know what to do with her silly umbrella. She’s supposed to be representing Britain and she’s behaving like she’s on holiday.

Its not criminal to be disrespectful to Women What a day to be alive
🚨The defence barrister in the Russell Brand trial, in his closing speech, told the jury: “It is not criminal to treat women unkindly before, during or after sex. Disgusting, distasteful, immoral—who cares? It’s irrelevant to your consideration.”

Iron fist in a velvet glove
Is this the same @RFitzwilliams who was caught by YouTubers reviewing a fake Oprah script about a non-existent donkey sanctuary in Balham? 😂 You’re tagging Dan Wootton, whose career collapsed due to a catfishing scandal, you think your critique on TV production has any value?

Rain is democratic
King Charles battles torrential Caribbean rain, Camilla escapes beneath an umbrella, and royal dignity survives a gloriously British ceremonial disaster.

Russell Brand, remade as a right-wing Christian influencer, is now selling a "magical amulet" that protects you from WiFi signals and other "evil energies." Only $239.99 per amulet.

🚨 BREAKING: Hackers are hitting supermarket freezers in 5 countries at the same time. This is what Covid looked like in week 1. A few countries. Small numbers. Nobody called it a crisis. 1/ Sweden: stores say hackers hit their cooling overnight. One says fridges and freezers were set to 50°C, and the food spoiled. ICA Kvantum stores in Sjöbo and Tomelilla were hit, plus at least 6 Coop stores. Sjöbo stayed closed through the morning, threw out all affected goods and apologized. ICA says it is working to restore normal operations. In Sankt Olof a store manager said "everything is ruined." Sweden's National Cybersecurity Centre is working on several incidents. 2/ Estonia: the CEO of cooling firm Kitman Coldtech says several clients were targeted and a large chain's freezer was raised to +50°C. It was found and addressed in about 10 minutes, no major damage. 3/ Ireland: SuperValu pulled ALL fresh and frozen food from 13 stores. Its owner, Musgrave, confirmed a "cybersecurity incident" on a "specific model" of fridge. 4/ Luxembourg: Ahold Delhaize says an "IT incident" hit fridges and freezers at dozens of its supermarkets across Luxembourg and Belgium. 5/ Belgium: more than 40 Delhaize, at least 15 Carrefour and around 5 Spar stores were hit. Cold storage climbed to 15°C. Aisles were closed off and large amounts of stock were destroyed. A notice at one Proxy Delhaize said its systems had "fallen victim to hacking." Now zoom out. A freezer normally sits at -18°C. In Estonia, hackers reportedly got in through older controllers. In France, the controller maker said many devices were obsolete or ran outdated firmware. Raise the temperature overnight and the food rots. "You can't unspoil food," one professor said. It did not start today. 3 weeks ago hackers raised freezers at more than 350 sites in France to as high as 50°C. There were fires. Intermarché's CEO put the cost at "tens of millions of euros nationwide in a single day." Sources suspect Russian involvement there. No group has claimed it. That same day an analyst said Spain, Portugal, Poland, Germany and Belgium were affected too. Covid emptied the shelves. Nobody is calling this a crisis yet. But the Financial Times already puts the ruined food at millions of euros. Officials say the Pentagon is treating late-August freezer failures on US military bases as a suspected hack. At least 6 base stores were hit. Army investigators are working with French law enforcement. 5 countries in one day. 11 countries named since August. Share this. Everyone should know about it.

Texting and Flying dont mix
The co-pilot of the Learjet that crashed into the ground in Florida has been identified as 20-year-old Nathalia Filgueiras, texted her boyfriend just 10 minutes before the crash. Filgueiras' mother said she "always knew" a plane would "take her away from me." The pilot was flying to the Bahamas when the plane plummeted 20,000 feet per minute into the ground. "I wanted her to live her dream, but I knew that her dream was going to be the thing that would take her away from me," her mother told the New York Post. "I knew that a plane was gonna take her away from me. I always knew it, but I was so proud of her. I know she was living her dream." Just 10 minutes before the crash, Filgueiras reportedly texted her boyfriend: "I’ve got turbulence, I’ve got ice." The female pilot got her pilot license in high school. Her stepfather says she had 1,300 hours of experience. In a social media post, Filgueiras boasted about how young she was as a pilot with her boyfriend. "How often do you see 2 pilots under 21 with a commercial, multi-engine, instrument, CFI/CFI-I," she said. 8 other people were on board the jet when it crashed. They have yet to be identified.

The BBC Ladies and Gentlemen
How is this statue still at the BBC? What are your thoughts? The artist is Eric Gill. Decades after Gill’s death in 1940, a 1989 biography revealed personal diary entries detailing that he had systematically abused his two eldest daughters, engaged in an incestuous relationship with his sister, and committed sexual acts on his dog. These revelations sparked intense public outrage and repeated calls for the BBC to remove the prominent public artwork.
