The FBI just added Mary Carole McDonnell to its Most Wanted Fraudsters list, offering $150k for information that leads to her arrest. I wrote about the hunt for the true-crime producer this summer and how she posed as an heiress to allegedly scam banks, friends and workers out of millions.
A True-Crime Producer Posed as an Heiress — Then Allegedly Stole $30 Million Mary Carole McDonnell made low-budget crime shows, but her own story was built on deceptions fit for one of her series. Now she’s on the FBI’s Most Wanted list. Story: rollingstone.com/culture/cul…

I look forward to asking @cheyenne_round to tell us more about this riveting book and her reasons for writing it tonight at 6:30pm at the Barnes & Noble on Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn. 📚
For the past two years, I’ve been working on a book about Sean Combs. It comes out today. I grew up in the Diddy era. I never necessarily considered myself a Sean Combs fan but “Shake Ya Tailfeather” and “Bump, Bump, Bump” played on repeat on my iPod; Making the Band helped shaped my current dependency on reality TV; I used my tip money from hosting at Bangkok Gardens in college to splurge on Ciroc vodka because it seemed cool; a photo of him lazily sprawling on a hotel bed talking on the phone in a bathrobe was my Twitter header; an ad for his 2023 album was spray-painted on my sidewalk in Brooklyn. When Cassie made her seismic allegations, it forced me to reckon with the man whose influence had quietly been a presence throughout my life. I couldn’t shake the idea: who is Sean Combs? This book, speaking with more than a hundred people who knew him, worked for him and entered his orbit over the past three decades, aims to answer that question. It asks you to hold two truths at once: the cultural weight of what Combs has built and the harm hidden beneath it. I hope you’ll read. amazon.com/dp/1250411165?tag…

My book 'Bad Boy for Life: The Rise and Fall of Sean Combs' come out next Tuesday. The final chapter takes stock of these past three years and asks the question: where does Combs, and his legacy, go from here?
An exclusive excerpt from 'Bad Boy for Life,' the new book on Sean "Diddy" Combs by Rolling Stone's @cheyenne_round, shows the mogul’s efforts to control his image from behind bars, how his “look-alike son” has been acting as his “proxy” at events, and what awaits him after his release. new: Fans of Stella Lefty thought her new song “Summer You Were Mine” sounded a lot like The Chicks’ “There’s Your Trouble.” A rep confirmed it was an interpolation of the Grammy-winning song and said a streaming platform error left off the OG songwriters in the credits.

Comedian and former late-night bandleader Reggie Watts is a proud ketamine enthusiast. Loved ones of his ex-girlfriend Katherine tell me that she became addicted to the drug through Reggie’s encouragement to take a heavy array of psychedelics in the name of enlightenment and intimacy. rollingstone.com/tv-movies/t…

Katherine died by suicide in March and in the wake of her death, her loved ones are calling Reggie’s promotion of ketamine dangerous. Her sister Colleen said: "I feel very strongly that the sister I knew before this relationship would still be here if she had never met him."

Through an attorney, Reggie said it was “dangerously false” and a “preconceived narrative” to suggest that he was responsible for Katherine's death. The attorney also claimed Katherine didn’t need “any so-called ‘encouragement’” from Reggie to use substances.
