Here is my guess the future of Twitter.
There are two broad ways to make money from a chat service:
- Get money from the people using the service.
- Sell advertising to the people using the service
I expect that regular people will see reduced features. For example, I expect that without paying or watching an advertisement, people will soon be limited in how many tweets they can make per day and/or how many tweets they can receive in a day.
This temper tantrum will *guarantee* that features break and that the people you want to get money from have a terrible experience.
