Over the last nine days, I have been informed that the powers that be have changed the rules regarding #CRL Community Broadcasts, meaning I will NOT be allowed to stream the Last Chance Qualifier. Before I explain, the LCQ is about the teams and the casters who ARE doing watch parties, so please ensure you enjoy their content tomorrow, as it will surely be one of the best single days of play all year. (ALL LINKS ARE SHOWN BELOW) As for current details: The rule change is quoted from CRL Administration as an image below, so for not having officially worked on CRL this semester or at all, that is their reason why I will not be permitted to stream the LCQ. Through conversations with the community, this rule is not being upheld in some circumstances; I am the only individual actually being held to this new change. I will save the majority of my thoughts for a video essay or article that will be coming out later this week or weekend as details develop, but this is extremely disappointing as someone who was not only coaching a CRL Championship roster last fall, but also has been hosting community broadcasts since CCA Summer Series 2024 and CRL Fall 2024. I have also been a certified "CCA Community Partner" in the Discord for many years now. I have been using my platform alongside others since I began commentating in 2023 to bring eyes to scholastic Rocket League, and I have been the most traveled Collegiate Rocket League caster in our scene through LANs and showcases, and work across multiple leagues. There is no question about my commitment to this game and to the development of High School RL and CRL. Even with all of that work, these are the final decisions from those at power, and I will share my thoughts at a more appropriate time later this week.
