I genuinely expected us to lose by 26 today.
What a pleasant surprise 😊

What a monster win for the Cougs. Congrats, y’all. You deserve to go nuts down in Provo.
Makes me more excited for the Holy War next month.

I love Mexico City. It’s awesome. Great people and great food. Great experience there as a missionary.
But there’s no way an NBA player wants to move there. The team would be a perennial bottom feeder.
Seattle is no longer considered a lock for an NBA expansion team, Adam Silver has informed team owners, per @WindhorstESPN.
The league is reportedly using Mexico City as a potential alternative to pressure Seattle’s bidding group into raising its offer.

Neat
We’re excited to share the next phase of what’s coming to downtown Salt Lake City. The new district will have something for everyone.
It’ll have a new convention center, updated Abravanel Hall, new art museum, transformed Delta Center, Live Nation venue, strong local vibe combined with new iconic brands, hotel, housing, restaurants, and a central pedestrian walkway connecting the whole downtown from City Creek all the way to the new front door of the Delta Center.
Kibbie Dome Magic for the sickos

Chicago is probably not a good hockey team, but good heavens Utah just wrecked them.
Should be a fun season!

My wife has been inviting people to dinner for the last couple years.
We prefer small groups, so we typically host only one other couple + their kids.
It’s actually great.
It’s not my norm, but I’m always glad when we do it.
Glad she forces me to do this.
Dinner parties require work and risk (what if it all goes terribly and you embarrass yourself and dinner's awful?) but they allow for intimacy: You learn something new about people when you glimpse their home life, and home reveals things that don't meet the eye when one has their (increasingly carefully-cultivated) public mask on.
But there are so many other benefits: Home dinner parties are deeply family-friendly (you'd be surprised by the number of times I walk into my room and there's just a friend's baby who has been put to sleep in my bed). They allow for a longer hangout, with less of a rigid structure, more spontaneity. You can break out the cigars, the amaro, the sherry, the firepit. They're really a deeper form of socializing, and they teach us manners and tolerance and grace because there's more variance and unexpectedness than when you're socializing in public. (We've all been served something gross and needed to eat it, to not offend!) And they're good for kids, who form their own emergent feral ecosystem, far away from the adult gaze.
I host 4-6x a month and just majorly delight in it. I hope my guests enjoy it as much as I do. Good for the soul.
Getting dog walked by Northern Colorado might be a new low.
#RollZers forever… but wow. Tough to be a Utah Tech fan rn.
This is awesome.
