...Absolutely means you should !
When it comes to games sound chip emulations - nobody does it better than Plogue.com
And here, all SID C64 variations are reproduced in the upmost accurate detail.

The core sound of the C64 also makes for some great synthesizer tones.
To me, there's something very special about the sound of the SID chip - and just like all of the other VST instruments from Plogue - this one is also a bit special - in the nicest possible way.
The C=64 was usually an EU/NA computer, I do wonder what the likes of @yuzokoshiro, @midiplex and @YasunoriMitsuda could do with this chipset. @David_Wise would especially love the filtering!
Now that @wwwPLOGUEcom 's chipsynth C64 is out, maybe we'll see?
