How do #beachhandball players 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭? 🌡️☀️
EHF joined forces with @Aspetar to conduct a research project at the YAC17 #bheuro2025. Listen to Prof. @Marco_Cardinale, executive director of research and scientific support at Aspetar 👇

A successful 4 days at the @EHF_Activities YAC17 Euro's assessing player health, performance and practice in the face of competing in extreme heat (WBGT's ≥31 °C) with @Marco_Cardinale
Likely a result of limited heat-related best practice and the accumulation of heat load over 4 days of competition.
Huge thanks to @EHF_Activities for facilitating our project.
We now have Beach Handball specific data to provide practice-compatible sport-specific policy and practice recommendations to the federation, coaches, medical staff and players to better protect their health/performance
