Messaging German buyers on LinkedIn? A connection isn’t consent.
In Germany, advertising by electronic post needs prior express consent, even B2B. German courts treat LinkedIn messages as electronic post (OLG Hamm, 2023). A Düsseldorf court ruled in Nov 2025 that a LinkedIn connection isn’t consent to marketing emails.
What works instead: calls with a real reason, being useful in public, opt-in inbound & introductions the buyer agreed to.

Quick update from the @rankrealizer team, here's what’s live and what’s next.
Live now- "Ranky"- our new guide. Ranky walks you through RankRealizer step by step: what it does, what each feature is and where every button lives.
In progress- articles with more personality. We’re pulling in more of your Google Search Console data, plus references and sources, so each article has a real point of view.
Coming soon- a new agent that analyzes your Search Console data, runs an SEO & GEO check and suggests how to restructure pages. It will also edit old posts and break down competitors’ strengths & weaknesses.
Also planned- a choice of Claude models (such as Opus and Haiku), a backlinks feature, deeper competitor analysis, and social tools: connect Instagram, Facebook or your Google profile and create a caption straight from a new blog post.
We’re building this for small #B2B teams, so tell us what would help you most. Which one would you use first?
Follow along, more updates coming soon.

Before a German buyer reads your email, they read your website. They're checking one thing: are you actually here, or just emailing from abroad?
The five things they look for:
1. An Impressum. The legal notice with your company details. It's required on commercial sites aimed at Germany, and a missing one is a quick no.
2. A real way to reach a human. An address, a phone number, a named contact. A contact form alone feels thin.
3. Prices in euros, shown net of VAT. "Contact us" with no range makes you harder to shortlist.
4. Where the data lives. One plain sentence, like "hosted in the EU," answers the GDPR question before anyone asks.
5. Someone who speaks German, in a formal tone. Sie is the safe default until they say otherwise.
None of it is product. It's proof you plan to stay.
Foreign founders spend months on the pitch and an hour on this page. In Germany I'd flip that.
What's the first thing you check on a vendor's website?
Today marks Gandhi Jayanti, a day the world also recognizes as the International Day of Non-Violence.
Spending more time in India over these past months, through our team and the people we work with, has only deepened my respect for what that philosophy still means here, truth and patience over force, even when it's harder.
Wishing India a thoughtful day of reflection.
Tomorrow is German Unity Day, a different kind of anniversary, the day a divided country came back together. Easy to take for granted now, but it took years of deliberate work to get there, not a single moment.
Two days, back to back, each a reminder that the things worth having rarely come easy.
Solo founders are tired of guessing what to write to get clicks on AI chats.
Answer engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity now pull clear, question-based content into their replies. That means your job is simple:
- Find real questions your audience asks
- Open each article with a short, direct answer
- Use question-style headings and short steps or bullets
- Add a small FAQ section to your key pages
You don’t need to rewrite everything. Just reshape what you already have so both Google and AI can easily quote you.

After (what feels like) 50+ calls with b2b founders from across south-east asia, I’ve noticed a PATTERN that needs to be addressed!
We talk to a lot of B2B founders trying to enter the German market. One pattern shows up almost every time, at the end of nearly every meeting:
Verbal agreement feels like enough to them. It isn't, here.
German B2B customers build trust through documentation, contracts are detailed and specific, and meetings end with written summaries and clear next steps.
Vague statements like "maybe" or "should be possible" often get read as a soft no, not an open door.
This catches a lot of founders off guard, because it's easy to mistake for coldness. It isn't.
Small tip if you're doing business in Germany for the first time: Over-communicate in writing. What reads as excessive elsewhere is just the baseline here :)

Selling #SaaS from India into Germany? This trade deal already changed five things for you, and almost nobody's talking about it:
1. No customs duty on your SaaS subscriptions or software downloads. This was already mostly true in practice under an existing global trade rule. The #FTA now locks it in writing, specifically between India and the EU.
2. Neither India nor the EU can force you to store or process all your data inside their territory just to operate there. This isn't unlimited freedom, they can still set targeted rules for privacy or security. But the blanket version of that risk is gone.
3. Nobody can force you to hand over your source code as a condition to enter the #Germanmarket. This is the one I'd actually worry about if I were an early-stage founder. Your IP stays yours.
4. Electronic signatures must now be legally recognized on both sides. India and the EU have also agreed to make them work smoothly across borders. In practice, this makes it much easier to sign a German B2B contract digitally, no printing, no flying anywhere.
5. There are now dedicated SME contact points in India and the EU to help small companies understand the rules. My honest take: helpful on paper, but a small team still shouldn't expect a government contact point to replace actually knowing your customer.
One thing this FTA does not do: remove GDPR. Both sides keep the right to set their own data protection rules. You still need to be fully compliant, deal or no deal.
The legal path into Germany just got shorter. Whether you actually get discovered and trusted once you're in, that part is still entirely on you.
