Today weāre revealing the official name and price of the first vehicle on the innovative UEV Platform, and itās not what you thoughtā¦
The Ford Fathom will start at just $28,350.
The name captures the spirit of adaptability. It gives the vehicle personality, a soul, and makes it a character in our customerās life. For us, at Ford, itās about understanding the vehicle and our customers completely.
This is a huge moment in the UEV journey, with so much more to come!

Our team has updated the @Ford app to work with Apple iPhone Duo. Looks great! especially the open view. If you have the Duo, update the app and let me know what you think.
The breakthrough moment for bidirectional power is nearly here.
The Ford Fathom will be the first EV from a U.S. automaker with an MSRP below $30,000 that does not need a separate wall-mounted inverter to supply more than 10 kW of AC power to a home!
At @Ford, we want to make the best technology available to the many, not just the few. We want to make products that have great tech, while still being affordable.
In 2027, our new electric truck, Ford Fathom, is going to show that itās possible to deliver an incredible vehicle with incredible tech and incredible value. One technology Iām excited to announce is coming to Fathom is bidirectional power and the ability to use your vehicle to power your house.
Our team of amazing engineers developed a better, more efficient and more affordable way to bring more than 10 kW of home powerāwithout a separate wall-mounted inverterāto a truck with an MSRP below $30,000.
Making the technology more accessible is one part of the work. Weāre also working with utilities to make connecting these vehicles simpler and scalable.
Thanks to American Electric Power, @bchydro, @ConsumersEnergy, @Exelon, and Pacific Gas and Electric Co. (@PGE4Me) for being among the first utilities to work with us.

Over the weekend, @FordRacing hosted the third annual #RaptorRally in Lake Havasu, AZ. Nearly 1,000 attendees and 465 Raptors got together for off-roading, hot laps, epic jumps, and the reveal of the new Bronco Raptor thatāll be competing at the 2026 Baja 1000. Every year this event gets bigger and better! Thanks to the team for creating these great events for our @Ford off-roading community to connect, and learn from experts and each other.
Two @ford ponies in the Engineering Explained garage. Well done Jason!
"When that Red Bull Ford powered car took the checkered flag, it carried the pride, grit, and brilliance of all of us (at @ford). This is what happens when we dare to compete. And we are just getting started."
Great write up on @Max33Verstappen's win from Mark Rushbrook.
