Liverpool are now at the ‘beggars can’t be choosers’ phase of the transfer window. Failing to make the required signings now is likely to cost us a champions league place, and that will be far costlier than over paying £10-15m for a couple of wingers.
The club can’t seriously think, given our lack of depth and quality, that it can risk going to September 1st in the hope that sellers will crack.
You’ve given it your best shot lads, in terms of trying to eek value out of the market, but the game is now up. There is no choice but to pay what is required to complete deals.

[🚨] NEW: Liverpool are reportedly exploring plans to turn the Anfield pitch red ahead of the new year.
The club are understood to be looking at a specialist turf pigment which can be applied to natural grass without affecting its growth, with trials expected to begin later this year.
