I am an indie dev creating a visual novel titled The Witch's Chamber. It is a New England story of romance, horror, and occult mystery.
I am the writer, composer, programmer, etc and @R31_44 is the artist.
Steam and Itch pages will come later. Follow this account for updates.
Happy Halloween! Here's a new Doria CG from The Witch's Chamber to celebrate! #visualnovel

THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!
The character in question is Phrygia from @chuunicraft's visual novel The Witch's Chamber
CHECK IT OUT BECAUSE I AM IN IT!!!!
Be sure to check out this art of Phrygia from The Witch's Chamber! #visualnovel
What's the correct response in this situation? #visualnovel
There's something really erotic about the eyes being out of frame. #visualnovel
Today I'm implementing new expressions for the narrator of The Witch's Chamber, Elliot Vane.
In the original prototype, Elliot had only 6 expressions, but thanks to @R31_44's hard work he currently has 25!
Unfortunately for me, most scenes are scripted, so I'm going back over 100,000+ words of story and sprinkling in the new expressions.
Ah, well! It's time-consuming, but also a lot of fun seeing how these new expressions add so much life to his character!

50,000 more words for Lorica
Work on The Witch's Chamber continues. Here's a quick breakdown of the routes, though all is still subject to change.
Locria Route:
-50,000~ words
-11 minor choices
-1 major choice
-2 endings
Phrygia Route:
-90,000~ words
-1 minor choice
-1 major choice
-2 endings
Only 3000~ words are shared between the two routes, making them very distinct. The total unique word count is expected to be around 137,000 words.
The Locria Route must be read first due to the way the story is structured.
There are no sudden "Bad Ends" where one wrong choice results in a game over. Each ending is complete on its own, and worth reading.
Most minor choices in the Locria Route affect both immediate dialogue and later scenes. In the example below, a choice made in Chapter 3 changes a scene in Chapter 7. The cyan tooltip explains what changed and why.
The minor choice in the Phrygia Route has greater consequence than any minor choice in the Locria Route, but it does not change the ending (currently).
Major choices determine the route's ending, with careful framing conveying their importance.
Do you prefer more frequent minor choices, or fewer choices each with more impact? Would you enjoy optional bad ends with a short scene followed by a game over?
