One thing you can say for libs. We got our asses kicked this time around, and we're devastated, but we're not making up a bullshit story about how the election was stolen. "Snowflakes" are tough enough to live in reality, even when it hurts.

Where did all the tweets go?

Twitter changed its name to "X." Twitter changed its name to "X" yesterday and I'm only finding out about it now, which says more about Twitter's viability than a 5,000-word think piece could. Or X's viability. Whatever.

I don't think I've ever seen so many people get Wordled in one go. This is worse than the PARER massacre.

What did we do before social media when random thoughts popped into our heads? Just ... not say them to anyone? How did we live?

"More than 150 drag queens and others ... sexually abused over 600 children." Oh, sorry, did I say drag queens? I meant priests. I'll be sitting here, holding my breath, waiting for Republicans to scream about Catholic higher-ups being groomers. apnews.com/article/baltimore…

There are two wolves inside you, and you should just get both of them drunk. They'll be fine, you'll be fine.

I'm not sure whether to find it reassuring or terrifying that a good-looking, successful celebrity has just as much trouble navigating the dating scene as any of us.

You'll have to excuse our fascist friends. They heard "gas" and "ovens" and got really nostalgic.

I'm so cheugy, I had to look up the word "cheugy."
I don't like euphemisms for death. When we replace the real word with "pass away" and the like, it feels like we're stigmatizing the thing happens to all of us eventually. Like dying is rude.

That said, the adjective is hard for me. I hate saying that someone is dead. I prefer saying they died, focusing on the last thing they actively did as a human.
@Adagio@mastodon.lol I don't think Twitter is going to burst into flames before weekend's end, as some have been predicting, but just in case. I'm also at another site people have been migrating to but I've already forgotten what it's called.
It finally happened. Arizona held its breath and turned blue. And now I can exhale.
Less strange than it sounds. I'm afraid Elon will enable doxxing and hate speech that incites real-life violence. I also dislike his arrogance and treatment of employees and thus hope he gets spanked by his own incompetence.
It's strange how many people there are who both worry that Elon will do a bad job of running Twitter, and also clearly hope that he does.

I am enough. No, that's my lack of confidence talking. I am not "enough." I am A LOT. I am TOO MUCH.

This is an excellent point. Although it may be the best anyone can do when the other person is at "Biden stole the election" or "Jews are bad actually."
You are not truly "meeting someone where they are at" if it's only done in service of moving them where you think they should be
