I’m alive, but not really living. I’m here, going through the motions, answering people, getting things done, and pretending that everything is normal. But somewhere inside me, I feel disconnected from the life I’m living. The days pass, and I pass through them without feeling much of anything. I miss the version of me who felt excited about little things, who had dreams that felt possible. I don’t want to just exist anymore. I want to feel alive again, even in the smallest ways.
