well friends the time has finally come! i am off to do something i've dreamt about for a long time 🥹 i'll still be around but will be sparse for a week or so! please @ me if anything insane happens but otherwise eat well, rest well, and take care of yourselves 💖
i love that both yb and xz (as seen in his oct vogue iv) have entered phases of their lives where they realise that accepting unpredictability or a lack of control is actually a form of control too: they play by ear instead of feeling pressured to produce a certain outcome
some of the write up from fantastic man, a lot of talk about control.
“this is probably why wyb is so fascinated by these sports: people develop a very specific relationship with their bodies. the body remembers each instance of loss of control, panic, and mistakes, and it also remembers how a person adjusts, starts afresh, and surpasses themselves. for him, attention and applause are both a reward and a personal emotional experience.”
i always talk about how xz is a study of opposites but yb is too!!!! he's always been associated with a more free and relaxed and unfettered way of life but all his endeavours require laser-sharp control of his body (dancing, acting, racing, climbing)
this one thumbnail is like those shoujo manga panels that have every sparkly screentone and kirakira art effect possible

The type of intelligence alhaitham displays in game is not scientific, mechanical, or artistic. While we are being told he is the most brilliant mind of haravatat, what we are being shown over and over is his very high intrapersonal intelligence and high cognitive empathy.
me, farming condessence crystals to craft r5 finale for valeriy, wandering around a region i definitely 100%ed like 3 years ago:
