Probably the most popular advice to improve the design of your code is DRY - Don’t Repeat Yourself. It is good advice, a good general guideline even, but it is not always the best answer. This is particularly true in Microservices, where DRY can result in too much coupling between services. What is it about microservices that means DRY becomes a problem?

I've been paying for editing of @sw_unscripted out of pocket for over a year now, and it's starting to add up. I'd like to start looking for a sponsor. I'd also appreciate any advice from anyone who knows this side of the podcasting world! Here are some analytics, if that helps.

I wrote a thing! "Functional Semantics in Imperative Clothing" It explains how code that's 100% pure functions can result in I/O, the practical benefits of doing I/O that way, and how some new syntax for that style can make it look totally imperative. rtfeldman.com/imperative-clo…

This book started my journey in software engineering. I remember having no experience, struggling with the concepts and @codecapers got on a call to help me through it. I’m now a k8s certified senior cloud engineer. Thank u again for your contributions 🤝
It so good to finally hold the fruits of your labour in your hands. I worked on this book for almost three years (1st and 2nd editions). When you put in small amount of time every day towards achieving your dreams it will add up to a big result over a year or more.

5/5 ➡️ The False Dichotomy of Monolith vs. Microservices: bit.ly/3tWb6O6 Taking sides in the debate of microservices vs. monolith gets in the way of doing the right thing for our customers. Most of the time we are better off somewhere between these extremes. @codecapers

This looks super interesting for people who wishes to draw or guide visually stable diffusion
Not happy with the images that ChatGPT is producing for you? The Fast AI course shows how easy it is to actually download a stable diffusion model and run code against it so we can make our own customized images. Just watch a few mins of this video: youtu.be/_7rMfsA24Ls?t=1534
