The Revolut CEO looks like he urgently needs a vacation. Maybe working 7 days a week isn't good for our health, and it's not worth sacrificing your wellbeing just to stay competitive.
Revolut CEO Nik Storonsky: “The US is not that competitive. Europe is even less competitive.”
“China is competitive.”
“China is 9/9/6. Even if you are good in Europe, or in the US, how can you out-compete the people who work 9:00 to 9:00, six days a week?”
“I started in a co-working space with 140 companies. Within 5 years, only 3 companies survived. They all worked on the weekends.”
“Within 10 years, only 2 companies survived out of 140.”

A hypothetical question: @Revolut operates almost entirely digitally, right? So, if it went under, how would it pay its customers back?
And that's the real problem. These companies assume people will buy whatever tacky product they throw at them just because they've spent years building a well-known brand.
The decline starts with small things.
Why has monetizing air become so normalized? Tourist taxes, fees to access beaches, fishing licenses. The list goes on.
What happened to actually building a business, creating a good product or offering a great service and earning money because you did something worthwhile? 👇
