Welcome kits are now available via @warpdotgreen!
Base and Ethereum users can now effectively bridge assets to Chia without needing a pre-funded XCH wallet. The welcome kit covers the offer needed to complete bridging, and includes 0.00042 extra XCH to be sent to the user's wallet (can be spent as they see fit).
To be eligible for a welcome kit, a bridge transaction needs to meet the following criteria:
- Destination: Chia
- Assets and minimum amounts: 10 milliETH (0.01 ETH) or 42 USDC or 42 USDT or 0.1 XCH
- Receiver address on Chia has a balance < 0.01 XCH
Welcome kits are paid for by myself and subject to availability. If one is available, the UI will reflect it via a notification:
this could potentially mean a lot for @chia_project also
⛊ BitVM2 enabled SNARK verification on Bitcoin, but disputes required 4 MB of onchain data.
⛊ BitVM3 cut that to 200 bytes — at the cost of 50 GB of offchain data.
⛊ Argo reduces the offchain data to about 10 MB, making BitVM bridges highly practical.
