Anyone that knows me, knows that I love teaching. It is SO cool to be able to create 3d worlds for software teaching
Guys, I’m really trying to pace myself with Opus 5.5 😅
A little over 24 hours in and I’ve already used ~40% of my 20x plan.
Have to switch to Sol 6.1 now. Went through my Opus 5.5 usage twice (with a reset).
These API costs would have been wild though
my internal creator studio is coming along. it is exposed on my tailscale and has APIs & MCPs to all my analytics.
reminder: we can just build stuff now

This would be the raw rate from my codex/claude subscriptions …
I pay for both Claude Code and Codex because they handle different parts of the workflows in my internal apps.
But I’m starting to wonder how many subscriptions I want to stack before it makes sense to test more open-weight models locally.
A Mac Studio with an M5 Ultra and 256GB of memory is the kind of machine that gets me thinking about this. I’d want to see whether a local model could handle one dedicated workflow well enough to replace a subscription.
Renting this type of machine is almost the same cost as a single LLM subscription.
The part that makes this interesting to me is having a specific job for the machine. If it can do that job reliably, I’d seriously consider putting the money there.
