Avidia $AVBC was able to buy back shares for 2 months of 3Q and in that time they retired 5% of the float. Thats what a motivated management team looks like.

TLDR - they wanted to hire a descendent of the founder, so found an airline pilot who will continue to be an airline pilot in addition to CEO
Baker Boyer $BBBK is an interesting bank with great funding, great fee income, and a margin expansion opportunity. But there are questions on decision making. Now let's check on management. Hmm.

Valley Bank $VLY is buying a fintech called Bluevine that innovates to assist small businesses with banking. Bluevine has 180 developers. Valley can either scale Bluevine, or act like a bank and scatter the people and waste the tech. Which do we think will happen?

Cashmere $CSHX board owns 2% of the stock with brad now pushing sale. As Gordon Ghekko told the Teldar annual meeting: “the Carnegies, the Mellons, they made sure of it because it was their money at stake. Today management has no stake in the company!” bankingdive.com/news/cashmer…

At most banks, operating expenses are about 3% of assets. At Varo Bank it is 66%. So Varo Bank is stuck in a cycle of bleeding out between recapitalizations. Very consistent income statement however - losses are almost always $20-$25mln / qtr

Today Fed gave $SOUB a consent order that prohibits paying sub debt and demands capital. So $BAFN and $SOUB are now taken care of. $MNMB issue is that the CEO is desperate to acquire.
Not advice but $SOUB $BAFN and $MNMB are three bank stocks where I believe the bidside is ignoring important and sobering information.

There has been a strong buyer of Blue Ridge Bancshares $BRBS in the market, recently driving shares from $3.20 to $3.70 despite an awful 2Q. This morning shares are halted, likely due to sale. An increasingly typical event in the sector.

CEO Sprink buys 10k $CCB Director Hovde buys 15k $CCB This is a signal we had been waiting for that the loans they charged off may not be rubbish, and the issue was conservative accounting.
